To
This man’s
Poetic mind, heart and soul
Drunken words of poetry you are
Imagine now, how elegant, royal, adorable
Delightful, stunning, magnificent
And   g o r g e o u s
You are

In dryest desert
Lay hidden jewels,
The monuments of days gone by,
Beneath the holy
Sands of Time,
Where altars to the Old Gods lie,

I found myself
Without my faith,
And could not pray, for I would die,
When I awoke,
Beneath the palms,
At the temple of the Ceruni.

To see their Gods,
Such power and fear!
For I've felt no presence as I have felt here,
So strong,  so pure,
So rich; Alive!
The Gods have felt so near this night.

I wandered in,
Through sacred gardens,
Which no other man had yet seemed defy,
And came upon her,
Her robes as the snow,
The Goddess of the Ceruni.

She beckoned me
From silvered dome,
Where she was seated,  upon silver throne,
I passed the great hemp
And red poppies which shone,
To lay my eyes upon her.

"O Dear Goddess," did i cry,
"Have the heart to tell me why,
When I have spent my days and nights,
Not quite dead, Yet not alive,
Am I shrouded in your Holy Light? "

She gave no words,
But simply smiled,
I, gripped by silence all the while,
Could find no speech
Nor pause for thought,
As she whispered lessons which one time, were taught.

You may think me mad;
I swear I am not!
I'll point out the towers if we find the spot,
Such silver and gold,
Such wonderful shine!
To be in a place where the Gods would recline.

I've witnessed the spires
Of fallen empires,
So proudly they stand in desert dry!
But I've no recollection,
Upon sudden reflection,
Of where the Holy Temple lies.

But when I die,
O, take me there!
Where hemp and poppy kiss the sky!
And on my slate,
Let them write,
"Here lies the last of the Ceruni!"
I love Samuel Taylor Coleridge, and I've always thought about experimenting with the extremely visual and often ***** tinted Romantic style.  I think it came out pretty well. After all,  I DO know my subject quite intimately.

I have visions of me
Standing in a sun beam
In one of your cabled sweaters
Too big for me
But thick, warm, white, and comfy
On a deck we built
To add to our dream home
There's a field of tall grass
Behind me, and it stretches for miles
My hair is soft brown and long
Blowing in the gentle morning breeze
You bring me a cup of coffee
Still wearing that same beanie
You've been wearing since I've known you
Your broad smile takes up your whole face
Disappearing only when you reach for a kiss
And there it is returned
You wrap an arm around me from behind
And we stand there
Sipping coffee and enjoying the stillness of us
I daydream about this constantly. It's an outward perspective. And all I can see is a couple that loves each other more than anything.

Been so sleepy all day, rain often makes me feel this way,
I wanna slumber by the window n hear it pitter pat,
I like to listen to the puddles as they splatter back,
kitty kat lazily layin on the sill,
bending grey light in accordance w his will,
Grey skies bounce grey in my eyes, I'm finding time for realizing
dreams start inside, then work their way out into life
Thriving ain't easy, but then again it ain't that hard,
I stay the course while I play my part,
Gazing at the fire, I watch the shadows dance,
the little licking flames lull me into trance,
advancing visions I put forth into heat rising fr the flame,
fantastic spirits, I whisper their names,
Silently calling out to the skies, this is no game,
a living dream, layers of reality melt away at the seams,
seems to me the dream is real,
all these these magnificent sensations I feel,
all the while my heart beats slow n true,
Remembering skies bright clear n blue
Like an Alaska river, the course is always changing,
And my hearts waters fill up when the day stays raining.
Refraining fr wasting creative free spaces,
I keep it tightly contained in a most pious of places,
A den of meditation, thought congregation,
magic seems real n even contagious,
Outrageous as it seems,
Living life is but a dream,
I'm writing my own book, turning my own pages,
Highways quickly lead me, byways more scenic,
Looking skyward tends to bring my life meaning
And o wait, what's that, was I again dreaming,
Cause all the sudden now its really seeming,
That the window has an almost 45 degree angle
And the burning heart on fire pendant fr the rear view dangles
And the fire don't got that familiar orange glow
It looks more like the blue of my car stereo
So that's what's up, this dream is really going along with my plan
Cause the den in my mind is really the back of my van

Imagine a world,
Where love is pollution.
If there's a problem,
Hate’s the solution.

Imagine a world,
Where dreams are faded,
Passion is destroyed,
Souls are raided.

Imagine a world,
Where souls never meet,
Attraction means nothing,
Only their needs.

Imagine a world,
Where hope is the loser,
Pride is the victor,
Later is sooner.

Imagine a world,
Where creativity is nothing,
Useless unless it,
Turns people to money.

Imagine a world,
Where eyes never meet,
Love is forever lost,
Souls never bring.

Imagine a world,
Where no is forever,
Affections change,
As much as the weather.

Imagine a world,
Where money’s everything,
Nobody's sharing,
Everyone's keeping.

Imagine a world,
Where nature's extinct,
Nobody's heard of,
A bird's feathered wings.
Hoping this will never become real...

Imagine a world,
Void of peace,
Empty of life,
No longer free.

Imagine a world,
Where trust is forgotten,
Lies come to reign,
Truth is corrupted.

Imagine a world,
Where hearts are empty,
Hands are needed,
But no one is lending.

Imagine a world,
When time comes to pass,
Clocks are reversed,
People become mad.

Imagine a world,
Where ash is the air,
Humans breathe fire,
But nobody cares.

Imagine a world,
Where love is forgotten,
Peace is envied,
Yet people are rotten.

Imagine a world,
Where crying is normal,
Tears are everywhere,
Nobody's formal.

Imagine a world,
Where corners aren't safe,
People spit fire,
Leaders breathe hate.

Imagine a world,
Where rain is no more,
Embers are everywhere,
Down to earth’s core.

Imagine a world,
Where sorry is lost,
Can't find its way,
Through all the wrongs.
Hoping these will stay dreams...

Tired of waking up to pain,
Weary of thinking whether I’m sane.
Tired of sleeping too hard,
With my head in the clouds.

Dreaming of warming faces, beautiful sounds.
Only to wake up with sweat on my brow.
Dreaming of hidden treasure being found,
Dreaming of the earth’s final renown.

I dreamt of two faces,
Who held beauty in their hands,
Making magic dust rise with their golden strands,
Spreading it everywhere as they started to dance.

I remember their names,
Olivia and April.
Waiting for the one day,
When they're seen from a windowsill.

I know they are out there,
They must surely exist.
There is no possibility,
My mind made their face with mere wind.

They were both perfect,
Flawlessly flawed.
They knew I was hurting,
Never failed to call.

They made life easy,
Transformed my heart.
It melted into pieces,
Just fell and broke apart.

When I met her for the first time,
Smiling back at her in life’s line,
She smiled back and knew my true thoughts.
Don’t know how, but I knew we could bond.

I don’t recall her face,
Although it was pure magic.
Gold-toned skin wrapped in fate,
Smooth red lips that always lasted.

Her sun-kissed hair glistened in the day,
She’d sweep me up in it and I would just faint.
Never curled or fixed to look its best,
I loved it fully along with her blue dress.

She’s out there somewhere,
I just have to start searching.
I’ll look too long, I don’t care,
If it means I’ll start learning.

I can see her in their eyes,
I know it was too long.
But I still don’t regret it,
Even if I am wrong.

She reveals her eyes,
Through strangers I see.
Don’t want to miss her walking by,
Like in my sweet sounding dream.
A poem about a dream I had that seemed so real to me. I felt compelled to write a poem about it...

Ripples of Darkness
I tire, weary from the day
Nightmares sail forward
Through a storm of closed eyelids

Eyes flutter, dare I sleep now
Visions, lightless creatures
They call to me, more rather
I am sure it is a scream

Haunting me like absent words
The ones which I've buried
That creative self, once more
But we rise again, always

I let these spectres wail
Who am I to stop creation
Paint the horrific, vibrant dusk
And I'll admire this truth

Black rose, with seam of gold,
Visions penetrate the air
With mysteries untold.
An ancient word spoken,
A waxen seal is broken;
Crow's flight stabs the sky,
As blood flows from a lie.
Poisoned knowing,
Wisdom divine.
Wind of change blowing,
We perceive the sign.
All our days are counted
And seen from above.
All our fears surmounted
When we take flight in love.
