Everyone needs a vacation away from home
so I trekked out to the crumbling temple
of your soft skin and fragile bones
welcomed with the promise of being gentle
a beautiful landscape for me to roam

Checked into your vacant room
visited the museum of your hall
dined on wine and roasted shrooms
danced the town in a hazed pub crawl
slept in the arms of your perfume

Days swift by into weeks
weeks begin to breeze
You grab me by the cheeks
and tell me that you love me

Babe, I am just a tourist
Its time for me to go home.

The sound of the waves,
crashing at your sandy feet.

The feeling of the warm,
misty air brushing your face.

That ocean smell that you can’t quite
put your finger on, taking you away.

The bright sunset reflecting on the glistening water.

You close your eyes, take a deep
breath and wake up.
Only to find yourself closing your
eyes, trying to go back to that place.
The best vacation of any kind, is one taken by the mind.

Loving you is like going on vacation without any money.
Away from all the tourist attractions.
The best views all in walking distance.
The places no-one likes to go alone.
My heart no longer my own.
Following where ever you go.
With legs of its own.
It runs like a teenager,
Street after street .
Making faces, having fun.
Your voice a constant favorite heard on station after station.
My heart jerking in place, smiling.
Dancing to the sound.
Loving you is like going somewhere new.
Welcomed by friendly faces.
Shown the sights left off travel brochures, travel channels.
Loving you is a constant  happy hour.
Strawberry & Mango margaritas on the house.
Loving you, being my favorite part

You are my vacation
You’re eyes are my blue ocean
Hair the sand
Smile the sunshine
And lips the cool needed breeze

my lower extremities
are coated lightly with
minute shards of glass,
my upper body loose from
chardonnay and sun beams

the water between is only angry because distance is disdain is
disbelief; a family finds solace
in the crashes of sad summer skies
and squinty eyes

i am not happy i am not sad
i am only breathing in the ocean’s
cries for calm, for quiet,
for familiar drunken fights
for love

my sunburn buried deep
solemn claims of reality;
direction is only a force
the stars have put in motion
moons pull me in opposites
but i remain

I feel as If I’m eternally melting
everything around me that I touch melts too..
I lay down in bed and cover myself in sheets
I melt into my mattress and sink further.
everything around me, everything I touch
Is fouled.

My tears pour from my burning eyes
everywhere I look I see lava
everywhere I glance, they vanish:
The people I love
The people I live for.

the tears dance and roll down my red cheeks
the land on my skin and melt into it
even my tears melt away
as well as every strength left inside me
It melts away .
even you melt away too.

Eternally melting
for I can’t do anything to stop it
hi it’s been a while since I’ve written anything- I forgot how good of a way of venting it was

My vacation is ending
Don't want to go back
Relaxation's been trending
So cut me some slack

Savoring time
On this great getaway
All so sublime
Don't throw it away

Which would you choose
If given election?
Diversion with views
Or desk-job dejection?

Surely you'll understand
My utter dismay
Even lend me a hand
To rediscover the way

How can I cope
As I reintegrate?
Should I just say nope
Or pretend it's all great?

Back to life with the locals
The doom so impending
Hesitation so vocal
My vacation is ending
All good things must come to an end.
Or some other cliché crap
to cope with my denial.
Back to the grind,
Dreaming of the next escape!

The planes in the sky look dwarf size, compare to the large skies.
Swallowing the blue atheist clouds
all spotless
as the ocean sparkles, flirting with the blazing sun, flirting with sailing ships as they smoothly take their leave.
Hypnotizing the captains onto their long journey on this massive 70% part of water they are on.
they are seen somewhere along the lines of the horizon
in the Atlantic ocean leaving with the sun at 7:52 PM  with 17 seconds.
The black haired beauty is seen, with a beige round hat wearing a long black dress, fleeing into the black hole sun.
