Take a stand do not back down,
If you don't see the problem take a look around.
Open your eyes to what's been in our face for years,
I will never understand your pain or everyday fears.
But I stand beside you with eyes full of tears.
The color of our skin should not determine whether we live or die,
The color of our skin should not separate you and I.
Our world is sick and I'm praying for a cure
So that people of all colors can walk the streets feeling secure.
People are dying by the very people there to protect us,
This is Injustice and I pray this will connect us.
Black, white , purple or green,
Let us all come together and show up to the scene.
We can become one and spark a change,
Heart to heart, hand to hand exchange.
The evil in the world makes my heart shatter,
When will you all understand that black lives matter?
I will never understand but I stand with you.

Take to the streets
and beat them with kindness,
club them with your decency,
ram home an ideology
to show that looking after our weakest
saves us all

hobble them with thumps
that scream
a little love goes a long way

that those that aren’t the same as you
in hue or shape or song,
if hearts are good,
belong in your world

cut them to the quick
with cameraderie
support and tolerance
destroy their unjust fears
and crush their tribalism

In cracking hard heads
the only death we’ll see
is a diseased past
which, unlike other countries
races or creeds,
needs to be lost and forgotten

Holding on to painful glories
costs more than the oxidised bronze
of an old man’s statue

So disappointing
what my windows
to the weary world see
i blink
and i blink some more
trying to clear
the melancholy mist
holding back
an ocean of tears
i try not casting stones
the only stone
i should be throwing
is the callous heart
barely beating
in my ice chest
i need to throw it back
in the pool
of humanity
watch the ripples
reach shallow shores
where integrity drowns
in high tides
of unsound rest
may these undulating motions
stirring small waves of love
penetrate walls of indifference
overcome all barriers
brothers and sisters all
gathering arm in arm
arriving at our destination
full of hope...

By the time you let go
It was too late
What was it with you
That consumed so much hate?

How you knelt down
On his neck for so long
Did nothing in you
Scream, Wait this is wrong?

How bout the words
"I can't breathe"
The humanity
To give A MAN some relief

To see life drain
From pleading eyes
There has got to
Be some evil inside

A grown man
Calling out for his mother
How you had
No love or care for this brother

Black, white or brown
Let's love one another
One thing is for sure
We all bleed the same colour

I guarantee now
You'll never forget
What you thought was nothing
Is histories biggest upset

The BLM movement
Worldwide protestings
Black & white marching
From your act resulting

In that moment in time
You hadn't a clue
Just what the results
Of your actions would do

If you'd known in that time
The after taste from your cup
Would be so bitter
You would have got up!

Police brutality, racism
And the latter
All I can say is
Black lives really do matter

The hurt the pain
The families destroyed
Guess now you'll always remember
The name George Floyd.

"When I put my pen on you paper,
It's as though we were meant to be,
As my ink soaks into your body,
You are like a soul mate to me,
For your texture inspires my movement,
As to which style i'm designing to write,
For the feeling I feel throughout my nib,
Is without a shadow of doubt my delight".

"When I feel your strong nib pressed upon me,
And your gesture of strokes as a pen,
I know that we are compatible,
I hope our new relationship never ends,
Although this is the first time I've felt you,
I don't want to be left blank again,
For I have found my perfect partner,
The ink of my dreams is you pen".

Oh how I am yearning for your gentle touch
With each tender movement that I love so much
Your supple fingers all over my keys
Is most definitely soothing and puts me at ease
I'm impressed by the way you always know what to play
Each note you instruct my sound trusts and obeys
The acoustic energy which fills up the air
Is the sound of my melodious tunes that we share,
each time the ebony and ivory component of me
awaits an exuberant moment each time you play me.

Walking down past
The Parliament buildings;
Riding past Hero’s square
In an open topped bus,
Under the watchful eye
Of Archangel Michael;
Buying tickets for the hot subway
And having to get off at the first stop
Because we were headed the wrong way;
Strolling Along the Danube
But then stopping to cry
At the bronze monument of shoes
That brought the past
Marching menacingly back
Into the disbelieving now.

Nature will have her way,
She will laugh in the darkness,
it will not be long until there is
nothing left but bone and marrow,
and in a coal face a mile wide,
there will be diamonds
shining like the first stars,
as the world ceases its turn,
the oceans will dry,
all the noise will finally die,
and the only question
left to ask of man and beast
will be why?
why did the gods
bother at all?
we are sickly despots,
far from evolved,
killing just to live another day,
all in all a perfect failure,
all in all a disaster piece.

Exhausted
kneeling so grit is driven deep
and the sneer and shove
of those robed in a fake love
harries

The smug, paid for fists
of sanctioned thuggery
inflict blows that go beyond
contusion and haematoma
deep into a world soul,
and scar

Solutions are there
if we bring a whetstone
to the keen edge of care
and weaponise kindness

Because something that has
been a mess for generation upon generation
can’t be ignored to fester more

It is time to exercise rights
and excise
