amidst the trials there is
beauty in the wisdom gained

I burst forth into a monster
Roaming to devour
The very soul that left me sore.
Desiring to destroy your hope
To chain you with disparaging words,
The very words that left me scarred.
To trap you in a pit pitch black
A darkness so tangible,
leaves you screaming for a way out.

But forgiveness came flashing to my mind
Difficult to pursue but worth the try
For I myself
Craves for a second chance of redemption
Therefore the only way was
FORGIVE AND YOU SHALL BE FORGIVEN
Waves come crashing on
moonlit shores and sandy tides,
songful yet divine

I knew a girl who was as highly strung
as Blanche Dubois
She had a sweet soul,
one of the last real ones perhaps:
vibrant and compassionate, any time of day.
I offered her the cure
to her constant plight
and once she let it in,
it eased her zapping mind.
But the brain still relentlessly
swishes
and
swallows
every good thought in her domain,
until it’s coated
in an atrocious slime.
‘Anxiety,
go for a holiday’
I heard her chanting one afternoon
from mid-battle ground...

You got wheels
Come pick up the cure
Feel the peace beneath your feet
It’s always been there honey,
You just gotta let it
paint your landscape: bright.

Thanks for the struggle and pain,
If it weren't for these things,
My knees would never bend for humility,
My head would never look up crying for pity,
And my heart would never yearn for Your presence to reign.

In my weakness, Your strength is made perfect.

-- nothing could prepare me,
        and nothing can compare.

Scars conveyed on thin skin,
from cuts made down soooo deep,
an memories will change us, true,
if we let them flow an seep,

Don't hide out alone with pain,
or let it come around an creep,
things will be different,
a promise I can keep,

So stay positive.

Oh this continuous trial,
Will have to fade.
I have put my faith in You.
I will live another day.
I can see the dawn is rising,
the darkness fades.
Your light is everlasting,
and shines upon my face.

When a mountain
   I dare not climb
the ropes and tackles
  are in abundance

In great shape
  my body and mind
Not a weak link
in the expedition

But when a mountain
  I dare to climb
the ropes and tackles
  are often misplaced

Out of shape
  my body and mind
Weakness as a
  spell does bind

Hopes and dreams
  of tireless youth can
be all but forgotten
  in the spiritually aged

Strength   the glittering
  cloak of youth can
fade in weakening
  jaded resolve

But in me common
  traits dissolve
The bucking steed
  will never be tamed

Pigeon-holed the
  misfortune of other
souls   has not been
  allowed by my resolve

But this determination
  is not without cost
The foothills of youth
  are far removed

by erosion caused by
  unstable belief systems
washed away into
  the Sea of Ambiguity

A distant mountain
  I often see
(distance   the deceiver
  of proportion)

Challenged at the foot
  of the formidable sight
halfway climbing
  only to slip and fall

Does this mountain
  need to be climbed
Do youthful dreams
  need to be fulfilled

When these dreams
  are all you ever had
you wake up falling
  or climbing higher

Driven by dreams
  and gifts and talents
that rage like a river
  in the driest desert

calling home what
  must come home
holding on to what
  must be fulfilled

Obstacles that have
  become landmarks
seem to fade
   into obscurity

like threats that
  always remain empty
laughing at what
  used to bring tears

I remain standing
  through all these trials
not unscathed
  and a bit weather beaten

halfway up another
  formidable mountain
making up for lost time
  from a major fall.
