Treasure…by Jessie 4/05

Today I dug up a treasure, kept buried rather deep

Treasures frail when left exposed to the elements won’t keep

Knowing I had but one chance, to keep the treasure safe

I rushed it over to you, in your hands the treasure placed

I’m making you the keeper; in you I give my trust

To keep this treasure shinny and never let it rust

Keep it protected at all times, never let it break

Hold it close against you, so no one else can take

Keep a watchful eye and never be too far apart

For in your keeping, is the treasure of my loving heart

I carry two treasure chests in my being.
They’re engraved in gold
and a gift from soul.

First chest is kept in heart.
It carries love infused diamonds
of happiness and joy,
dreams and song,
peace and harmony,
that when opened dissolves sorrows.

Second chest is kept in mind.
It carries words infused with light.
Verses of rhyme for poetry.
Phases of visions for prose.
Jargon for stories to emerge,
that make pen dance.

How to unlock these strongboxes?
Simple, with the key of breath,
I carry in lungs at all times.

Lust is one craving for your flesh and
conquest. Love is one melding
with your mind and body.
Then, and only then,
are you truly
naked.
Love and lust go in hand and hand. We live in a world concerned about lust than genuine love. This is my honest belief on what it means to be naked.
I'm old-fashioned like that - I have a retro soul by nature.
An ideal that I treasure, and one I fear has ceased to exist...

Friendship is a harmonious
bond between multiple
bodies.
Friendship is a song people listen and dance too but tend to miss the message...
My way is charismatic
It has feelings to pick
Signs that are shining
Treasures without opening
I dig for mine just
To get better I must

Weeping Tree

Weeping tree
In a place I haven't known
Only known to our forefathers
You've been told in tales
Giants of the land have journeyed
In quest for your warm embrace
While the minute ants from the dust
Have ignorantly grazed
Right under your mysteries
You've been a mystery to the seeker
But a treasure to the holder

Weeping tree
What haven't you been?
You've cast a shade under for the goats to rest
You've sprouted branches for the birds to roost
The nests that host future generations
Are founded and knitted upon you
You've been shelter to the needy
You've shouldered Mother Nature's mistakes
A bearer of comfort and affection
A groomer of the future
A harbour of hope

Weeping tree
But you've showed to me your other shade
You enticed me with your collectedness
Wooed me with your sentimental stance
And lured me with your sweet reverberations
We closed the distance between us
I found my share of the forever told mystery
Your embrace warm over me
But you got a little more harsh on me
Like the broad wings of an angel
Your branches covered me
You brought me close to your stem, roughly
Your embrace turned into an engulf
Your pats into slaps
You pressed, you smothered
You let me die inside of you
While I died inside of me
I died
I hope you weep
Weeping tree

In the name and ways of God there is so much hidden treasure,
Who by the loving remembrance of, is bestowed at His pleasure.
