A tale of time
With a taste of air
And a pristine hope
Logical questions
Full of reminders
Far away, from day and night
Puzzling correlations
But still,
Sun rises for a good reason
Then sets for transformation

A new day begins
2nd version of walk,
With possibilities and hope
Learned to answer. No, thanks
No, thanks
Be it in the present tense
No, thanks
Residual aftermath
Experience is an influence
Let one wonder
A new world,
With a solstice joy
अयम् आत्मा ब्रह्म
Accepting silence
Union with reality.
अयम् आत्मा ब्रह्म sanskrit word, "Ayam atma brahma", means Soul is god.

She closed her eyes
serene in her anticipation of There,
in her unshakable hope for Then.
And blind, she sat
unaware of the joy of the Here,
closed to the pleasure of the Now
- both within an arms reach of her dreaming.

She opened her eyes
smiling at the memory of what was
laughing at what had been
looking back with thanks.
And thankful, she sang
And thankful, she shouted
with echoes of healing,
of growing,
of climbing -
to the Here,
to the Now,
ready for the Next,
anticipating the Not Yet
and prepared for all that is promised.

But for now
she looked back
with thanks
and she - just - sang!
Looking forward with hope and back with thanks.

Mom
She's someone you love
And someone you've hurt
No matter what you did
How far you've fallen
How distant you've become

She'll open her arms wide
Welcome you to her embrace
Give you rest after all the pain
She'll give you another chance
And she'll say
"No matter what, my son,
I'll still love you."
I love you Mom.
Thanks.

I wish, just for moment, that I could show you how you look to me. How even your simplest of creations are a constant inspiration. Not because they give me ideas or contribute in a synergistic manner with my own works. It’s because your pieces of literary and artistic genius give me hope that one day my own pieces will no longer be this muddled, contorted maelstrom of chaos and damnable poetry. They give me happiness when I sorely lack even a shred of joy. They enable me to bravely face the demons of my work, in hopes of quelling their ceaseless screams, or destroying them all together. In the end, your positivity helps me face the monsters that I have created to remind myself that this world will continue to beat me down, and that with the unknowing support of all of you, I can continue to fight.
Comments and criticism appreciated.

Four o'clock in the morning,
Ev’r’one ‘cept me still asleep.
The drinks in the freezer still freezing
Off my feet the taste starts to sweep.

Today was particularly rainy
Drip drip crashing, outside it seems rough
Explain I can't, at least not very
For Buffy speaks things such and stuff

Then an hour later after food
From upstairs pops a head
In a fitful voice shakes the mood
“Please, my son. Go to bed."

Go to bed I cannot and shall not,
For I have things to do
My belongings I have sought,
I must be leaving, I will pursue

I escape the place
Carrying the centre of commencement on my back
Treason is not the proper treatment; please replace

Parents, I sincerely thank you,
For the words you've spoken are true
Your prominence there all along
So much like a chocolate fondue

Striding for the future of me
The Sun of my humanity
Like matchstick is to fire,
And sand is to beach,
My fortitude, you may foresee
Mother may I say thanks
For raising me
Not befriending me

Mother may I tell you
I appreciate all you’ve done
You’ve given your all and expected none

Mother may I thank you
For giving me the road map of life
So I may find my own way through strife

Mother may I tell you
You have shown all kindness and love
And I will pass it on like the peaceful dove

Mother may I say thanks
For when i stray as the young tend to do
You always welcome me home
with open arms and hot food

You’re my best friend
Always a time of transition
I was in the last year
Of my second decade

I said goodbye
To young adult fiction
Read some classic thrillers
And plays to readjust
My ripening brain

Met someone I’d probably
Never see again
Didn’t get his last name
Only a distant memory

I was surprised when someone
In Las Vegas
Had never been to New York

And how I wanted to go
To Paris
Like the scale of excitability
Was a sliding one

Thank you for giving me time
To ready myself
Before heading abroad
You always look out for me
