i love you more is a loaded statement
more than what?
your parents? siblings? friends?
but all along i knew I loved you more
i love you more than ice cream on
hotter than hell July days,
i love you more than the earthworms love the rich soil in which they sow,
i love you more than pink sky when the sun starts to set,
i love you more than the pictures i take and the words i write,
because to be honest, everything i write
ends up being about you.
i love you more than the universe loves it children
i love you more than the leaves at 2 AM covered in dew,
i love you more and more each day
and i hope
you
do
*too,
you know who you are

I'm trapped behind a person I want to be...

I'm trapped like the person I wanted to be
like fireflies in a jar on a stormy night -
like caterpillars longing for flight

There's the person they all see
and then farther down is
the one that's really me

I'm ugly, stupid, and fake
like plastic dolls, robots, and
castles made sourly of cake

There's a mask - only a mask
so why can't I take it off
I feel like an actor alone in the cast

I'm simply not myself
even the mirror will agree
it only sees a doll on a shelf

This really isn't me -
look closer and you'll see

you saw me, you saw me,  you saw me
standing there
waiting for you patiently, to  honestly
confess
you saw me, you saw me,  you saw me
standing there
my love you saw , you saw  it snuggled in a little
nest,
and you saw my love that once was nurtured,
for you it was
manifest,
slowly become a
mess,
of
              painful
                                    happiness

Young love,
thinking of
school work,
mean jerks
bullying the weak
drugs freak
parents out
teens pout
for money needed
friends pleaded
no more drinks
before they sink
into amnesia
hospitals induced anesthesia
sneaking out
into the moon’s set route
driving fast
to forget the past
late nights
a city’s lights
shining bright
as friends fight
a good mentality
for the harsh brutality
of our society
creating too much anxiety
for the teens
of a world in between
We are the kids
our parents warned us about
because parents forbid
and teens run out.

all we are are tired teens
breaking down at the thought
of leaving our homes
to travel abroad
to go forth and learn
our mindset must be firm
but right now we are
falling down
and trying to pick ourselves up
we falter to be
there is no time to dream anymore
no time to even sleep
no room to breath
no space to think
we are lost to notions
that it will get better
in the near future
but will it be

all we’ll be are putout parents
breaking down at the thought
of leaving our homes
to go to work
to make ends meet
our minds can’t be deep
and all we’ll be is
broken down
and trying  to pick ourselves up
so our kids don’t see
there is no time to dream anymore
no time to even sleep
no room to breath
no space to think
we will be lost to notions
that the end is near
and find comfort in
mortality

these days, girls
strive to become
effy stonem- a
fictional character on
a show where
everyone drinks and
has ***, and
does drugs.

in the end
of the program
she looses her
mind, but yet
every girl wants
to grow up
to be her.

enticing? i think
*not.

for some liquor
boys could freak her

a lil ***
a lil head
***/AIDS
now she dead.

they told her to live a little
so she did.*

she was just a kid.

why do teens do this ****?
or i should say why are teens, teens?
the fact is that at this forsaken age there's
a whole bunch of chemical reactions in your brains(if any)
so hold on, its goin to be alright
just readjust those reactions
relax
sit back
let the moment pass
think about whats happening
  think rationally
and you're good,
adios

you’ll never know the loud girl behind the smile
the big laugh
frizzy hair
the constant smile
tummy
annoyed grimace
thighs

you won’t know the young woman with a strong opinion
the condescending looks
acne
hand motions
feet
shouting
toes

you won’t know the girl who yells at you during a debate
you won’t know the girl who stares at you like you’re dumber than ****
you won’t know the girl who leans in closely to hear gossip
you won’t know the girl who walks around like she’s better than you, this place, like she should be doing something more important at that moment.

you wont know her because she cries herself to sleep
hangs her head in shame at home,
shoves her headphones on
turns up the volume
closes the door
and hides away from the world.

you won’t know the girl who uses all her emotions at school
and tries to hide from them at home
you won’t know her
you won’t ever know her unless
she invites you into
her bittersweet thought process

you won’t know when she’s shouting at you from across a table
that she dances around in her underwear in an attempt to feel good
then sits against the wall and sobs for her pretty perfect little life.

you won’t know her
