Artists minds
Have fragile souls
The delicate way
We pen our words
Shows our vulnerability

We bare our scars
Triumphs
Hopes and dreams
To heal the pain
Of our wounded hearts

We must create
For our own understanding
Self-discovery
To process the turmoil
And calm our fears and anxiety

Tattooing our thoughts
On our readers minds
Letting each person who reads
Carry a piece of the pain with them
Until there is none left

Tracing your footprints,
Recalling your promises,
Finding your essence
In the past of mine is so beautiful
But accepting your absence
In the present of mine so horrific.
Your death didn't lead to mine
But your absence leads.
Your eyes, sweet skin, hair little brownish
and that permanent
tattoo breaks me down.
I know you are here somewhere
But reality says the truth.
Every night walking on the beach
Finding you in those stars sounds childish
But dear "I love you" ...

A moment,
When air smells decent
Celestial pulse cross by,
Felt something to write

Though ,
don’t  know how to put it into words
and, can’t  find any paper, close
I wrote it in the flesh

Now, they call it
Tattoo

Seriously,
seems nothing better
Art display.

I want to paint my body in beautiful murals,
It’s large canvas finally useful.
To dip my hair in oceans of color...
Wouldn’t that be quite a wonder?
To stutter ink into my skin,
To bar the monsters from coming in.
To fill the canyons with streaming light...
Wouldn’t that be quite a sight?

Like seeing the ghosts of the people I loved
I scan through crowds and avoid their faces
Faces as magnets attract my eyes
My vision is blurry, it's time to go
I stumble through hallways
My head hangs low,
Avoiding those faces as magnets.

The girl with the piercings
The guy with tattoos
That person whose hair is a dark grayish blue

Those people have faces as magnets.
A poem about my anxiety of running into old friends and making new ones.

She had a wave tattooed on her ribs
Which is apt
For her body was a riptide
That lead straight to her whirlpool heart

She had the sun tattooed on her thigh
Which is apt
For she was my sunshine
Every day was a new moon night when we were apart

She had a lyre tattooed on her shoulder
Which is apt
For she was my muse
And she always kept me in the dark

Freud says tattoos
Are
The Manifestation
Of a
Trauma

Every point
A
Separate pain
We
Have
Suffered

It took
Two
And a
Half
Hours

To complete
The
Diary
Of my
Trauma

And half a million perforations

To convert
Those
Memories
Into something

New

And

Beautiful

To finally
Let go
Of the past

I hope my name sticks to you,
like a regrettable tattoo.
after death.

i've always wanted to get a tattoo.
"wow, just like every rebellious teen out there, huh?", you say.
that is not true.
what i want are three simple, minimalistic markings.
one tattoo, i would like on my hip.
very small, barely noticeable.
three dots.
one blue, one purple, one pink.
one tattoo, i would like on my chest, far to the side.
once again, small, unnoticeable.
a small yellow and black heart.
to honor those i've lost.
and the last tattoo,
i would like four little symbols to keep me grounded.
tiny, on my left wrist.
the first symbol is a collection of wavy lines,
the second a small cloud,
the third is a incomplete box,
and the last is a heart.

breathe, relax, think, be.
