shards of shimmering sunlight
sliced through the tree canopy
to lay a bed of bright beams
on the soft earth's ground
Saige Detomas Jun 2017
I was created for the sun
I know because my hands hold the warmth of the sun itself
I exist to offer it to other people
And it's beautiful to me
The sunlight that flows through the world
Thick and rich
Maple syrup
Coasting from the sky and slowing down time
Soaking into my arms
Filling me with warmth
It closes my eyelids and wraps me in an airy blanket
Every day I inhale the sunlight
Fill my lungs with the helium of spring until my stomach explodes out of my body to go explore the fields
Oh to live in that feeling
To be nothing but a girl
Laying on a hill,
I'm a hammock,
On a towel on the beach
Soaking in the sunlight
Bathing in the warmth
I have to hold the sunlight until my palms burn
Everyday I turn my palms to the sky and beg for more of the beauty
To cover every part of the until I begin to glow myself
Every time I venture outside
I long to reign in the sky and shape it into my eyes,
Sprinkled with grass
I'll pull at the trees until they turn into strands of my own hair
Roll my arms in the dirt until my freckles are three shades darker.
I am a sponge
God created me to absorb his creation until it flows back out of me.
I was created to be the trees
To extend my arms to heaven and shade those few who cannot love the sun the same way I do
The sunlight has always been, always will be,
My sustenance
It grows me so one day I might reach the sky
And hold onto the clouds

Forget what they ALL say
Forget origin common sense and mood and fashion,
Forget the human in you and unleash your unique inner species,
Light your heart with electricity from the skies
                                       wetness from the rain
                                        rough grains from the land
                                        And BE!

Just be, become endless,
Free!
Enjoy the sunlight and forget the smoke
They got thrown in your eyes.

Thin streaks of sunlight      chase away shadows
through the shutters slits,      swallows still singing.

State of mind: restless; over-thinking

Thoughts: from observation - of watching the sunlight diffusing the darkness. Light breaks into my room, spreads across the walls, like an enlightenment or a sudden realisation.

Questions: none

Notes: part 2 of 3
I kissed the spiraling sunlight when it traced my teared cheek. I felt the glow, way down below, graze upon my feet. I lifted lips and limbs until I reached the sorrowed sun. It whispered flames, and fumes to say, "it's only just begun.."

I bottled moonlight of Crescent moon
&
Sunlight of full sun .......
I bottled love of mine
&
Hate of yours....
I found,
Both are same
Only difference is
One reflecting surface of moon
&
One thin line of misunderstanding...
But it won't change the facts,
Moonlight is sunlight
&
My love is your hate.....

the ray of sunlight
peaks through the over sized clouds,
and that’s when i want to wave hello to the shining light
that is calling my name.
i shield my oval eyes, watch the darkness
that surrounds the sunlight
[ the small dust particles all around
light up too, as luminous as the sun itself ]
i want to run towards this crepuscular ray
- this bright, shining light - that pleads for me.
i’ll skip on clouds, dance till i reach my destination
i’ll run up to the sky, bask in the single ray
of light
that is slowly fading.
i’ll lie underneath its radiance,
until it finally  d i s a p p e a r s .
