The wind whistling, through the trees,
Your face tingling, in the sun beams,
The glimmer of raindrops, on wildflowers,
Beautiful clouds, filling the empty hours,
Grains of sand, trickling down,
to the bottom of the glass,
The scratch of the lighter, as you light your smoke,
and prepare to pass,
The longing desire, for the next inhale,
Keep the lighter ready, if the joint is stale,
Simple pleasures, fulfilling empty desire,
Twinkling eyes, gaze at the fire,
The weight has lifted,
it’s never been so light,
Another deep breath,
watch the joint glow bright,
The air has never, smelled so sweet,
This pine forest, is your new retreat,
Steady yourself, at the base of a tree,
For the first time, you are free.
"Grains of sand trickling down, to the bottom of the glass" the "glass" is an hourglass referencing to time which is mentioned more than one in this poem. It is a play on how we all are so worried about time and it going by too fast or too slow, but with one cloudy inhale we can stop worrying about it all together, and truly appreciate the little things. Little things like the sound of wind, the smell of trees, the glimmer of raindrops on flower petals.

paint me in your delication,
softer beams of coloured shape
golden grins, exhileration
oh how i hope to laugh again

salty odour, shiny face
born of sunlight, yellow taste
kiss me 40°, cascade waves
drink me up, I'm yours today

sunset eyelids curl in smirk
bluer skies have been upturned
parallels, and play pretend
summer then, summer again
'every summer is life-changing', you said.

Eyes are supposed to be the windows to the soul
Except for hers
She looks to the sky
Getting lost in the sun
You stare at her
Never wanting to look away
But she looks to the star that shines as bright as she does
Wishing to be lost in its warmth
Losing her sight
And losing you with it
But that doesn’t matter...
You stare anyways, wishing someday
Someday
She will see again
For those with unrequited love

I met a boy once
who cried and told me
he was not enough
and it baffled me
that he could not see
the sunlight pouring through his eyes

The way they glistened and shined
the diamond tear falling down his face
he falls on his knees
because to him
he was nothing but empty space.

He was wrong
and I wish he could see,
he is the sunlight in life
the stars in the sky
the reason I haven't died.

Don't take the sunlight.
to my boyfriend...

a bed of sunlight beckons me
you wait there wanting,
an unknown lover craving
everything I cannot give,

A light within the dark
Sings a song inside my heart
A sound to fill the silence

The way he glows
You'd think the sun was in his veins

My love fills the vacuum of space
It melts the ice caps in the north
Reaches to the center of the earth
Stretches from sea to sea
Yet my love still can’t seem
To find you

My love screams above the thunder
It sings softer than a lark
Turns lava into rock
Fills the stars with light
Yet my love still can’t seem
To reach you

My love grows roses in the sand
It turns shadows into sunlight
Makes salt taste like sugar
Takes strolls across the universe
Yet my love still can’t seem
To touch you

Petals fly up high
Wilting with ginormous life
Pink falls meticulously
Brushing the dewy ground
Fresh tears warmed by
the everlasting sunlight
Giving a breath of fresh air
in hopes of regaining
movement and emotion
Spring has a beautiful ring
and a underlying allergic thing
Its so nice out today!
