A bored Poet Nov 2016
One day a bee
Was flying happily
By a meadow curiously
He saw a sunflower
Shone brightly

Bewitched he flew closer
To the beautiful splendor
Of which was simply was
An elegant little flower

They chatted all day
With no obstacles in their way
Until night came
Then everything changed

The peculiar flower had to go
But with no goodbye to go
She just closed up where she was
And not a single stop or pause

Sadly, the bee left
Leaving the flower he just met
Thinking to himself that time
I'll try harder next time

My beautiful Sunflower,
Don't be sad,
I'm here to make you laugh.

My beautiful Sunflower,
Don't be angry,
I'm here to make you smile.

I'm your sun,
I'm your water,
I'm all that matters.

I imagine her night –
her winter, her dark – better
defined your light,
the same way black velvet
offers a showy diamond.

A diamond,
your diamond,
full of beans,
along with mine,
full of shrieks,

seeds we’ve germinated.
Yours is tall and yellow;
mine blue and pensive.
Kindred, we
dream a garden for them.

He stands tall and sanguine like a beautiful sunflower;
always facing the sun and absorbing its positivity and strength hour by hour;
never allowing the darkness to swallow him whole or cause him discomfort or pain -
he just brushes it off and grows more compelling and powerful through the storms and the rain.

And here I am, the opposite; a wallflower
who hasn't got the strength to go on (nor the willpower) -
I am a wilting, moribund soul with dwindled leaves and descending dead seeds;
suffocated by the never ending nightmare - I join the worthless weeds.

Maybe you loved me like a sunflower
But just how a sunflower withered
Your love, too, has faded away.
I wish I can get over you.

The old dim lighted staircase was our setting
Shoulder to shoulder we sat
A glance at my watch read 3:55 AM
To some that would be considered late, but when I was with her I had no sense of the word “late”
She made time stand still
Only knowing her for about a couple weeks she had already become my best friend
Coming to that conclusion was not difficult
Knowing that nobody has ever made me feel as good about myself as she did,
I knew she was one in a million
Conversation carried and I found myself face to face with her, standing up now
Talking turned to whispering
And whispering to silence
I could feel her breathe ever so slightly on my lips
Her nose met mine
Even if I wanted to move I couldn’t
Temporary paralysis too over my body
As I stared into her eyes and she stared into mine I didn’t know what to do
A million things began running through my mind
Most prevalent was “Is this right?”
Our eyes wondered from our lips back to our eyes
Standing there for what seemed like an eternity
She finally moved
Forward
As her lips met mine I lost myself
Being able to feel nothing and everything at the same time
As I was about to pull away she pulled in closer
Locking her lips in mine
The feeling was utterly indescribable
Fireworks wouldn’t do the feeling in my body any justice
As two puzzle pieces fit perfectly together, so did her lips on mine
She backed up and we stared into each others eyes once again and I noticed the slightest smirk on the corner of her mouth
Grabbing her by her hips I pulled her in for another
And it was just as breathtaking as the first one
Only knowing her for about a couple weeks she had already become my best friend
Coming to that conclusion was not difficult
Knowing that nobody has ever made me feel as good about myself as she did, I knew she was one in a million
But I also knew,
That in some supernatural way,
This was right
She was right
We were *right

If i'm a sunflower
You are my sun
Your warmth & light enlightens me
& Bestows energy to my soul
When you rise up
I always turn to see your face
When you come to me in the morning
I really start growing,my darling
When you come to me in the noon
Floating, tossing & dancing in front of you
When your rays kiss me
I bow down my head and shy
When your brightness hugs me
I happily move and bloom
When your light shades
By God my face fades
When you hide behind the clouds
My crying voice louds
When you become sad
I also feel so bad
When in the evening you show red light
Me turn pale, old & lose my sight
When you go away to home
My loneliness starts killing me
When you say good bye
I finally wither,fall & die
