When she sees him
it feels as if she has fallen down the rabbit hole
her heart pounds out of her chest at the sound of his voice.
overwhelmed
emotions overtake all logic
day is night and night is day
two souls were never so star crossed
he was the darkness
she was the light
one could not be without the other
and together they created beautiful masterpieces in the sky
but their togetherness was always so fleeting
moments that could not fully be captured
one always hoping to catch the other
always wishing their time together could last longer
but time never stood still long enough.
We started this in summer

When it was warm and fresh and free,

And our skin shined gold

Because we are

The gems of our generation.

But you left.

And the seasons changed.

It is now winter, and my heart is freezing cold.

Our romance has turned into

Nothing more than a

Light snowfall:

Slow and steady,

But when it settles,

It leaves the ground heavy.

Hearts heavy.

And our kisses are like

The cold, bitter wind:

They can travel

The distance,

But when they reach you,

It’s no longer a gentle

Breeze to caress your face.

Rather a hard slap that brings

You to tears when it

Hits you head on.

And I’m hoping

Since the next season is spring,

That we can crush everything we were

Into the dirt.

Grind it with the heels of

Our sneakers

Until there is nothing.

Then we can use the tears

I’ll bring--

From realizing that I’d

Rather have an ocean between us

Than three measly states--

And maybe the showers

That spring will bring,

That the angels will cry for us

When they see

Their two broken soldiers

Walking away from

What they could've been,

To sprout our romance from the dirt

And pick up right where we

Left off

Just before summer starts again.
I wrote this when I was 16 right before I ended it with boy who would come back to me every summer

One dream shall ever die,
Words promised only said,
Two gold rings tossing ayes
By gleems of moon we laid,
So gentle was strike of time,
Cruel night conquering day.

That night I dreamt of two star-crossed lovers,
hidden in the bodies of green giants.
I knew them both from a time now long past
For my spirit was just as wild as theirs.
They silently pined for each other,
In the echoes of the tears of the falls
The murmur of the river taunting them
Forever so close, yet a world apart.
Their hands reaching out under a silver blade.
That which was once tears, that which was once rain,
That which was once earth, That which was once sea
Now carries under her breath their longing.
Oh no dear heart! Do not despair for them
For they are old souls who know that loving is not possessing

The night is here,
a deeper hue.
I'm in your veins,
my host is you.

The forests howl
and seep into
your lungs to me,
my host is you.
This has been in my head for a while, or at least I've been pondering about this idea of infection or affection. I had to get it out!

A foggy day in London
Was the day that they would meet
They'd find themselves together
And love would plants its seed

As fate would have it
They would meet on a train
Though normally they walked
That day it would rain

He would sit down first
Then she would take the next seat
They would share a polite smile
Then their eyes would meet

They would fall in love right there
And their story would start
Their lives would be changed
They would never wish to part

But the stars were crossed
And they would never meet
Because she took a taxi
When he got on the train at Main Street
Just a story.

I am nothing without my best friend. He and I until the end.
He's my favorite person in the world and all I want is a kiss.
When we are together i am bliss.

Space between us makes me wonder how inhumane this world is.
The viscous ways of other beings keeps us apart.
But I can't because I've loved you from the start.

They don't understand the bond we have. And they never will.
When your soft lips touch mine... It feels like forever.
And when it stops.. my heart jumps out of my skin because..
I know our forever won't last.

But still I love you and You love me.
When we're together time stops.
And I know that others are on  the contrary.
But I feel that you and I were meant to be.

When time starts again... I will start to count.
To the next time I see you from then.
I can't forget! To you I am bound.
You and I as star-crossed lovers..
There's no one like us around.

You're looking to impress me
For when you come back in September.
But honestly,
An uncomfortable hostel bed and you would be perfect.
I've no idea what to do, so I'll let you lead..
All I know is you don't need much.
All I need is you.
My parents would never let him stay.
They'd never even let me be with him.

I saw you for the last time
before you left for Georgia
we hugged in the hotel hallway
people walked by, we didn't care
what they thought of us.
It felt like it was just you and me.

I mumbled into your chest, "You smell good"
"It's Old Spice" you said "now whenever you smell Old Spice you'll think of me"

Now you're gone, and I probably won't see you again ever in my life.

I'll see you when I stand in the aisles
In the store looking for Old Spice
So I can smell you again.
I miss him so much.

I yearn to put my head
On your chest
And inhale your delicious old spice.
You smelled good.
