She gave off a blinding light
He stood amazed by her sight
As the dark swallowed the night
To him she shone, ‘twas a fright

With her brilliance she walked free
As though not hearing him plea
To him her gaze rest and see
Heartache, if she let him be

Though he hasn’t got a clue
What she thinks out of the blue
The spark igniting her true
Was him, though he never knew
Could-have-beens or sucker punches, same difference.

You were a shining star
Times passed,
Memories forgotten,
Hopes gone...
Why did you fade away
Can you sparkle once more?
My friend paint with shining stars before and asked me to make a poem that fits it. Her work is full of hope but all I have that time were words of doubts and aches likes this one.
So many desire endless drugs and women
I just see you as the only woman near my milky way
Don't let the spark go away
Always having to participate a parley
Looking for a smart way
To fight off the troubles at my beach

If you don’t write it,
It won’t come.
That spark of madness
Devoid of need for the tongue.
If you don’t write it,
It won’t come.
That hidden power in your tone
To bring you visions into the world,
A form of alchemy that pales to none.
If you don’t write it,
It won’t come.
That jewel in your belly that glows brightly
That seeks to find you day and nightly.
If you don’t write it,
It won’t come.
The spark that you find,
The visions you define,
The power you cannot hide.
If you write it,
It will come.

Today, I hope you realize how much you are loved
And it sets off a spark inside of you that burns brighter each minute
A spark that turns into a fiery warmth from the inside out to warm your hands and melt your pain into a wax candle of memories
A fiery warmth that never goes out
Not even when floodwaters rise to your chest
Today, I hope you realize how much you are loved.
I wrote this for my friends who feel so unworthy, suicide feels like an option. I love them and they are so fantastic, but they can't believe it.

There's a reason why I'm doing this
Somewhere, somehow
I set off with a passion and a purpose
That seems so long ago.
I decided it was worth it, not to wither into a selfish nothing
To surge on, keep on grappling
but I've almost had enough
and I'm
just
so
tired
.
When will I find the spark again?
I have some faith that
an ember of the passion I lost
still exists
somewhere between my lungs and beneath my ribs
Can my faith be ever enough?
May I find out.
I found out they the name of the place the heart is located is a " thoracic compartment called the mediastinum" but decided using that phrase would have been a bit much to use here.

Maybe another day.

we talk
I gawk
into the abyss we walk
do you see how those empty eyes spark...

I do
we do
love each other ado
your secrets I accrue...

blood spill
hearts drill
tring tring we fill ear to ear through vaudeville
commotions instill ...

strangers once
enchanted into the same ambience
parting through resilience
into Oblivion...

you should not
I shall not either
drift back to that oneness once sought
whence hearts of ours aflutter...
A simple poem for you all.. feel free to predict it your way :)

They said you'll go places, kid
I heard it so often I believed it

I could be this shining spark
hope for a fire from nowhere

but like nearly every other spark
I crashed lightly into the grass

flared up once
and flickered out
into the darkness.

We've come so far

Chasing butterflies in the sky

Wandering valleys and mountains alike

But as the road splits we must depart

And bid a farewell to our fateful partner

In light that perhaps we may find another

So dashing and handsome such as she before our conclusion
