you whispered into my ear,
and it reached my heart,
like when we were kids,
and this was all thing we were told to keep,
Shhhhhh,
a secret.

and the secret you bore on me,
was the words,
I love you,
but,
Shhhhhh,
because this is,
the big secret

I love you
is his one word short white lie,
of,
I hate you
but you've Shhhhhhed me,
with your **kissing,
kids innocent kids

There are sounds
I truly hate:
One hand clapping,
Derisive laughing,
Babies crying,
The rasp of dying.
For us, these sounds
Raise sympathy,
For the hard of hearing,
A symphony.
How does music posit itself,
Beautiful, sublime?

What of the listener, attentive,
An aesthetic individual?

How does pulse, pitch and timbre affect us?
What colors a melody?
Why should such arrangements please us?

whispers in my ear,
without voices to be clear,
mistaken sounds afar,
I wonder who they are,

Whispers without manner,
Without purpose or valour,
Journeys to end,
Whispers again ...
I've always loved to sing,
and what more there is to love
than my favorite little mermaid?

Who sings of exploring that shore up above?
Wish I could be...

Part of your world.

If only.

Pressing buttons,
Hitting switches,
Flashing lights,
Strobing sounds,

"Decorum! Decorum!" she cries,

No use. They are all within His spell.

A gentle reprise from the world's harsh sounds,
A melody, unheard, unseen;
Silence, it deftly and swiftly surrounds,
Transforming your thoughts to visions obscene.

****** and vile, cruel thoughts in your head
Sinister thoughts leave you begging for death.
An ominous visage fills you with dread,
You squirm and struggle, grasping for breath.

And suddenly, crash! A harsh sound awakes.
You curse and you smile, you've won this fight.
The visions are gone, the night you forsake
Cacophony bursts from your chest in full might.

Silence; a gift, or a curse in disguise?
Only you know what in your dreams lies.
Not exactly my greatest work, but I wanted to emphasize how endearing silence can be. Sometimes it's best not to have a moment to think.

Tried to use softer, lighter syllables in the first quartet, as well as a lot of silent letters, then darker syllables in the second (V's and S's have an evil effect), and harsher/harder syllables(K's primarily) in the third. Purposeful use of an extra syllable in the line beginning "Cacophony."

Explaining my choices for feedback, primarily.

Feedback is appreciated, and I hope, as always, you enjoy.
If the thought process is something you like seeing the explanation of, I can begin doing so on a more regular basis. Trying it out, for now. Let's see what happens.

We are so busy untangling wires
For little speakers in our ears
We forget to listen to the beauty of the earth.
We see it but ignore it every day.
So accustom to it's ever changing views.
But Music is every where
From the wind whistling through the trees
To the birds belting their beats.
There's no denying nothing is more beautiful then the sounds of earth.

The great New York metropolitan
stretching its  vibrancy
trafficking its wears.
Car horns combating in contemptuous arguments
habituated eardrums unwittingly pulsating

Great buildings upward; towering behemoths in grandiose splendor
This great asphalt jungle sprawling its electricity for blocks,
for miles
The jazz of the city continues the chanting; the sounds of bass and the blowing of the **** sax, the horn, the piano
and the drums drumming on its rhythmical beat

Beating hearts feeling the vibrancy; the shock waves of nuances echoing the great hustle
Multitude of voices singing praise to the different tongues;
vibrant in diverse rejoicing, the poetry of men and women
Metropolitans claiming the world condensing into small
blocks and listening to its RHAPSODY.
