Hands Cold.
Finally feel hard enough,
To protect my filtered soul.
Sins Told.
Surrounded by a little trust,
Enough to keep me sold.

The heatwaves pressed me down, sweating out my moral code.
The others watched or listened,
Breathing heavy but their judgement never showed.
Held on tight to warmth, let the thoughts pass as I rode.
Gripped so tight it burned,
Remembering the feeling and depth through the blankets I fold.
It was like pain of heat became enjoyment. Like, pain is normally bad, shouldn’t happen, so when my mind flipped that switch for sin, the pain didn’t matter either, and it felt just as good to enjoy a dog day...

Trouble
Troubled
Troubling

Which one are you today?
I am that unholy trinity

Three in one… a triptych of suffering
Curse my name… mutter it under your breath

I will merely continue until my repentance is full

If I confess my secret sins to the wind
Will they come back to haunt me?
When the storm clouds come rolling in
Will I hear once more the horrible truths I said?

“Maybe” said the wind “but you’ll finally be free
once the rains wash them away for good”

Feeling deep regret for our misguided debt
Which gives us pause realizing the hurt we’ll cause
So let's raise our glasses to the lads and lasses
Who will bear the brunt on the battlefront

O timeless sloth, I must with thee abide,
Let it be not to my own destruction.
Another life from me thou must divide,
Say to me t’was of mine own instruction!

I cling desperately to thine branches
I must weather the slings and arrows of
Most untimely sharp commands, and blanches
At my staunch resoluteness thereof.

Cease! Cease! See not the moss amongst my hairs,
Nor my talon-like nails, still, motionless.
Judge not, entwined as thou art in bland affairs
In your gray monuments to boastfulness

For nothing is equal to nothing.
To mime futile work is all but bluffing.
Today I wrote my first ever sonnet while procrastinating :))

It's dark in the wild searching
For my inner child
As i lay my sins down
Onto the ground
I'm trying to run
But i can't help still holding on
To the thread
And the voice driving me to insanity
That only lives inside my head.

i’ve dedicated my life
to doing penance
for sins i did not commit.
whose ledger is it
that i am trying to wipe clean?
i toil with desperation, as if on trial,
fruitlessly trying to prove myself
to judge, jury, executioner
that not even i know.
which laws did i break
in the checkered past only i see?
the glass shows a liar and a cheat
an adulterer, a glutton
a sloth, a jealous beast
they all stare back at me
as i try to exonerate them.
they all look like her
and she calls out to me but i cannot hear
she is muffled beneath their cries of innocence.
i shackle myself in their stead
and pay the debts of demons i never knew.

In the boudoir of satan's play pen
Chain-smoking her pretty lies
You learn the art
In your veins
In your heart
You can not refrain, dancing with sins
Touching her slowly
Oh the pain, you can not contain
Out of reach, you weep
This is your defeat

I sinned today
A sinner I am
Then I went to work
And forgot
All together
Every issue
Every problem
For just a second
And it was nice
Just to forget
When you looked at me
And called me an *******
In a kidding way
