From the boughs of trees
in the Garden of Eden,
a great, heavy serpent emerges.
Its countless muscular movements
up, along my spine,
lead to my tingling skull.
And there,
quietly,
it fixes its fangs at the base.
I feel the venom catch the current of my blood and rush away with it,
and I'm paralyzed,
absently noting that I may soon die.
My speech is frozen in my mouth
as its cool, slippery sheath winds tighter
about my throat.
I blink away the weariness,
attempting to focus,
but its arrow of a head has arrived at my cheek.
Ah, there you are,
I say,
just as it unhinges its jaw,
and consumes me,
face first.

What a great reptile,
A Royal Python - no less,
A serpent so dapper;
Never seen in a mess,
Non-poisonous, deaf, mute;
Except for its hiss,
It likes nothing more
Than to hug and to kiss!

Though it has no arms,
Harmless it is not,
Make no mis-snake a
Mean streak it has got,
Outside of its coils
The view is just fine,
But if invited inside
You'd be wise to decline!

Don't be enticed in
By its hypnotic stare,
For when those coils tense,
They act like a snare,
For those patterned coils;
Look brill' from without,
But lose their appeal
When wrapped
Around your snout!

The smoky serpent rises
Above the heads of some
The sight hurts my eyes
It knows, it's not welcome

I cough and I choke
As it enters the atmosphere
My breathing gets heavy
For the deadly cancer, I fear

It stinks as I cover my nose
Second-hand smoking is at worse
Awareness by the educated people
They are the ones who ride this horse

So much to eradicate this demon
But fail to exile the makers
Putting awareness on the packets
Only lures and leads more smokers

It controls the people like a God
No matter what approach you take
The roll glows in between the lips
And the serpent is released in the lake...

"serpent is released in the lake..." this line means that the smoke is released in the air.

Smoking/second-hand smoking is injurious to health.

The serpent around my eye
in perpetuity eating its tail.
A sigil to represent fluidity,
sheds its skin to no avail.

The Truths play around my head in loops eternal,
infinite possibilities of *******,
fractal gems cavorting in lustrous oceans,
that cleanse an hours disgrace.

Pan-Dimensional
and Omni-Directional
Truths are connecting.

Ouroboros, protector of the Tree of Life,
his apple is the gift of Knowledge.
Are those tempted weak and futile?
or hungry for the secrets of Cronos.
The fruit of Wisdom picked, and devoured,
in the garden quest for clarity.

And the serpent around my eye,
like a monocle allowing sight,
flows Truths into my mind,
reflecting matrices taken to flight.

If someone asks a question
that appears to be a riddle.
Just play it really safe
and put a Haiku in the middle  ;-)

I had never once expected
A snake to be so beautiful.

Magnificent serpent, tempt me,
And I will succumb to you.
Show me the apple,
And I will bite it.
I will consume as much needed to please such a spectacular creature.

As long as you may call me yours,
I will be yours.
As long as you may say that you own me,
I will be owned by you.
As long as you may say that I obey you,
I will obey.

No amount of good nor evil may deter me from following the example you set.
No amount of kindness will assuage me,
Nor will it pleasure every desire, every fantasy.

I yearn for your punishment, your sin.
I desire the pain and disappointment that only you can give me.
And I fear that good will soon plague me.
Writing a letter to you, my dear,
And forever wishing you would receive it.

I cannot keep myself from your evil.
I cannot keep myself from sin.
But I find, lately,
That I do not care.
In fact,
I am chasing you.
You and your sin.
Motion, 'side-by-side,' -taste.
Tiny ridges, odd projections, scales
over a hunken-frame, -slide.

Two Dead Bears; Red Eyes!
Two Dead Bears; Red Eyes!
Betwixt two bears; it lies.

Cranial portholes, back out, newt,
shimmery black tongues array, -kiss.
Tail around the head; constrict.

Two Dead Bears; Red Eyes!
Two Dead Bears; Red Eyes!
Betwixt two bears; it lies.

Celestial space, taste the air,
Now slither wrap the eyelashes...
twist, pull apart, open, -see!

Two Dead Bears; Red Eyes!
Two Did Bare; Red Eyes!
Betwixt two bears; they lied.

Three rows of teeth exposed,
to **** out the eye!
A Dragon consumes a Hero.

It is not a myth.

A soft breeze whispers in the moonlight,
Gliding over the pond, causing endless ripples in the water.
Sounds of the crickets echo through the trees,
hushing the quiet chatter on the dock.
Scarlet fish swim in circles below,
following the dark seaweed path.
Lull acoustic guitar roars under the clouds.
Ever so slightly a hiss travels past the ear.
Unknown from sight,
But present by sound.
Ruby crystals spotted in the distance,
hidden no more.
My original ending is preferred, but this will do :)

Now* whispers the serpent, do you feel my pain?

What pain? I ask, fearing it's response.

Oh child, dear, you are still blinded

Blinded? But my tears were as red as the embers of burning coal! I felt them burn as they slid down my guilt ridden face. These tears, you said, would let me see.

Ah. Only you can cure yourself, I have not that power.

Yet you have the power of temptation, to show me my flaws, my insecurities. To point out every little thing I've done wrong. Saying the thing I should've said, in the stories you repeat over and over! I scream.

I am a figment of your imagination. You tempt yourself my darling.
You have the power

I have no such power, you underestimate my abilities. If I could stop it I would!!

No you wouldn't Deep fiery glow radiates from the sly serpent's eyes.
*You like it too much
