Hey there, I'm Joe Sixpack,
an American full of pride.
I don't want no welfare state,
I don't want no free ride.

And I don't want no charity
'cause freedom don't come free.
I just got four priorities,
they're ME, ME, ME and ME!

I just can't stand the government.
Tax, I don't wanna pay.
Don't want no lazy welfare bums
to **** it all away.

Don't want no ******* FEMA
after flood or hurricane.
Don't want no public healthcare
to fix someone else's pain.

But if my house blows over
or if I get unemployed,
and I don't got insurance
and my health's getting destroyed...

Well, then you'll see me change my tune
and I'll be first in line.
Sayin' "I deserve a handout",
"Oh poor ME" I'll ***** and whine.
Calling out hypocrisy is one of my greatest pleasures.

there was always going to be something greater than my want
just look at us
i begged my hands and knees ******
still the universe said: don't
so here we aren't
some cosmic being is laughing at me

When he covers me with love
and plants himself whole,
a chance to grow and make life,
but he just says thats no.
I can’t  make him feel the urge, to grow and be so much more...
to love the lives you make and see them grow and grow.
No I can only respect his wants and move on with hopes of more,
until then i will wait and time will pass and i can no longer expect the same thing.
Why is he such an ***?

If the world was ending,

I would cry.

I would think of all the possible outcomes of my death.

Painful?

Beautiful?

Would the fact that death doesn’t scare me make a difference?

But the reaction would break me forever

This world is huge, we have no idea

We are blind.

We are deaf.

To the fact that this world is selfish.

Why would I want to live in a place like this?

Ya know what, let’s become God

Let’s start again. Make a new one

A new life.

A happier one.

Make it so that there is no pain

No suffering.

No tears, no scars

A place where we can live our dreams

To experience experiences.

You are small.

You don’t matter.

No one cares ya know

Not in this life. Selfish is what we are

We are like children who don’t share their toys

Like a teenage girl who howls

when she doesn’t get a Suzuki Swift for her 16th birthday.

See all those people?
They're real; they feel,
they think, they aren't
mannequins.
I know this may come
as a surprise, but there are
other people in the
world with problems.
And by the way, the fact
that you can't find your
tweezers isn't a catastrophe.
Oh I know you need them to
perfect your eyebrows.
Just in case you forgot,
we are having a pandemic.
Oh, you want me to leave?
I make you uncomfortable.
Never mind it's freezing out,
and that crisis I mentioned, is
at it's peak.
And lets just forget that it's
late at night, and I've nowhere to go.
Just a small reminder, we have a
two year old daughter, and
I have been taking care of
your son for eight years.
Oh, it's your house and it's
not your job to put me up.
I wouldn't live with you if
you paid me.
I had a place and gave it up when
you called me, begging and crying
for my help with the kids, because
it was too much, and you
couldn't multi task.
So now I get why you don't
have mirrors in your house...
Even though you're a narcissist,
it's too painful for you to see those
reptilian, vacant eyes starring
blankly back at you.

he took away,
all that there is.
left nothing,
but ruins.

You looked so majestic sitting there
Delicate, divine, and bare
Vulnerable but I didn't care
How could I?

You, with your brown eyes and your short brown hair
Resting on a broken chair
Defeated but I didn't care
I had to lie

Over and over and over again to get you
Over and over and over again, I let you down
Over and over and you were over it, you'd even given up your crown

You should have known better when I said that I'd be there for you
You should have known better than to believe when I said that I would help you through
I'll tell you that I'm sorry but by now you should know the truth
Helping someone other than myself is something [that] I just can't do

I saw my chance and I acted fast
Things this pure (you see) they never last
At least they never have in my past
I bled you dry

I didn't want you to leave the shadow I cast
With your love so deep and your heart so vast
You'd be happier in a light you could bask
That's why

Over and over and over again I hurt you
Over and over and over again to keep you down
Over and over and you were over it, you couldn't even reach your crown

You should have known better when I said that I'd be there for you
You should have known better than to believe when I said that I'd be there for you
I'll tell you that I'm sorry but by now you should know the truth
Helping someone other than myself is something [that] I just can't do

I can't be good to you
Poetry that's meant to easily translate into a country song, from the perspective of all the men I've loved before. I came up with this in 15 minutes so don't take it too seriously!
