No matter how shattered our homes were
or how many times throughout the night we heard our own cries,
we all started off with a grin stretching over our faces
with wide eyes staring at the sapphire sky and the emerald trees,
curiosity always singing lullabies in our ears.
But eventually,
the sky turns to rust and the tree's leaves fall off
and we are left to wonder where we went wrong
and how we got to the edge of the world,
looking down a sempiternal pit of blank faces,
including your own.
And as we grew our hands became rougher
while others got smoother,
so with the same wide eyes
we gaze up at the people who we praised,
for climbing down the border of the earth
wondering how they fell into the world
and climbed off of it into their mind,
and it was only till now that we realized,
separate people conquer different insanities.

Almost was addicted to the numbness.
All thought and no deed makes pharma rich.
Give me a sunset and a laugh over pills any day.
Want to live there? Go right ahead.
I’ll be over here, smiling after climbing out.
Hope I'm on the right path :)

I use substances
To plan an escape
To run away
With not even moving

Turn off my mind
My brain gets loud
All the wrongs I have done
All the times I was let down

I feel everything, and everything and everything

I leave these emotions, these pieces of my history
       Safe

Hidden behind, humour, hidden behind, lust, hidden behind, trust

I feel everything

And most of the time I want it to stop
And I fill up that cup
Take one more shot
Because everything I got

Reminds me of what I am not

Wicked ones they are
Stealing, Taking, Relentless
Forged in the oven of the spirit

Wicked ones they are
Unrelenting, Unreasonable
Like the wind, they make their own path

Wicked ones they are
Ruthless, Wanted
Bringing pain and life

Wicked ones they are
But yet we need them
For they are created by us

To tell us
To guide us
To lead us
Just my take on the feelings we experience everyday

What if she gives you her smile again ?
Is she gonna feel for a while without pain ?

What if you put her in your dreams tonight ?
Is she gonna stay until it's bright ?

What if you offer her your heart ?
Are you never gonna be apart ?

What if you try to pacify the butterfly ?
Is she gonna want to fly with you ?

What if you share her the rest of your life ?
Are you gonna accept as you are each other ?

You are still right here and waiting for her,
You were both in, you hope not too much.

What if she is still ignoring you ?
Will you just walk away and say goodbye ?

You are both out, you fear too much,
Just keep breathing for a while.

Because she will be always your half,
In that souvenir of her sparkling smile.
Never Try To Test Good People..Because Good People are Like Mercury..When you Hit Them They Won't Break But They Just Slip Away From Your Life Silently...

For every time that I felt sadness and grief
I wondered why you couldn’t get over your own
A lady who walked alone thinking of her lost husband
Said I was destined to bury understanding with my bones

I heard a song that was unfamiliar to me
It was in a language that cried out to those who know
A man who once sang that very song to his children
Wondered if anyone would care about foreign tales of woe

I walked alone watching a young man
He felt the confidence that only ignorance can provide
But he mocked me with his very presence
I knew what I knew but still I felt old on the inside

But then the sun rose once again
And what it was came to me when I was awake
But I could not decide between sorrow or joy
Because the day had not yet come for God’s sake

In my mind, as infinite as the heavens,
I am but a starry eyed stranger

Wandering through her shimmering realms
Beneath an ebony sky, laced with crimson,
Beclouded with spiraling sprays of stardust

A child, a warrior, a saint full of sin,
I pass through the vapour of my shadowselves

Layers falling away like rotten tree bark
Exposing the rings within, like fingerprints,
Looping coils of time, bending but unbroken

Somewhere in the distance a dragonfly dances on the surface of the water,
Unknowingly admired by a sharp toothed Chinook

As another lost soul pulls back on a well worn syringe,
Seated on a broken toilet, slowly leaking across the scarred, yellow linoleum.

While a mother in Africa nurses a starving baby from her malnourished breast,
A stomach ravaged by dysentery,
Lips cracked and bleeding beneath the relentless heat of the sun,

And a pimple faced pop star sips champagne from a crystal goblet,
Wearing eight hundred dollar sunglasses and basking on a beach in Barbados,

Where they will spend more on hotels and liquor for a week than most families will earn in wages all year.

I close my eyes to imagine a world where only dragonflies sip champagne,

and people ACTUALLY care about one another.

But the former seems more likely than the latter...
So I return to my inner sanctuary of dreams...
And once again, I am infinite.

The pressure builds and builds
until I've ballooned so big
that a piece of me jostles loose
and begins
               floating
                           off.
I
           leap
    after it, aghast,
and clutch it firmly to my chest.
Only when I go to place it
back in its rightful spot
            do I notice
                   other remnants gone
                missing, floating
                               wayward.
Gasping, rushing to catch them
     all before I'm completely lost,
I hurriedly put them back
     and rush to grab more.
Only after securing the last piece
     do I realize
that in my haphazard haste
I've put myself together
                                 all wrong.

Take a plunge
In the cosmic sea
To find the depths
Unfathomable by many
Priceless treasures
Only who renounce
The false reality
Breaking the shackles
of illusion
To delve deep
Into the realms of truth
Will transform you
Beyond imagination
A rare wealth
Very few possess
