He never had this power
That satisfied himself—
'Twas difficult to compensate
In seeking what he left.

With paradise above the years,
He exhausted for an hour;
A prayer occupied his skin
And agonize no more.

There once were a group of flies
They wished to hunt for filth no more
They wished to hunt for the light instead
Like the regal moths during the night

So they went to the queen of the moths
And said: “We're no lesser than your moths
So please permit us to look for the light

The queen was amused, and said to the flies
Go forth then, like my moths, to find the light

The flies went forth with great delight
And with eagerness they found many lights
and returned to the queen to report their finds.
But they found no moths were waiting there

We’ve outdone the moths!” they said in delight.
We’ve found the light, while they're lost in the dark
The Queen was amused and said to the flies:
Those who only 'look' for the light, return to me,
Those who truly love the light, are consumed by it.

My take on an old mystic fable.

Few people know or believe that the Kingdom of God is like a wish fulfilling tree
that’s why it has been said ‘if you seek it first, all things will be added unto thee’.

Painted characters
Adding life to it
Scarlet imaginations
White, Black, Blue
Missing the object,
While grasping it’s shadow
Illusion of hope,
Nothing of what seems, everything
Complicated questions,
Answers within
Seeking the peace,
With loaded weapon
A placebo effect,
Of reason and faith
Thinking, obstacle is the path
Effort to undress, a naked man
Remedies worsen than the illness

Doubting everything,
In the zero hour
Doubting everything,
Way to find a truth

Emptiness is a new fullness.

Beyond  the  sphere of eye
A journey of near and far
Holding breath, pausing wishes
Under review, human wholeness

A mystic light in transit
Collided with hope,
With a collateral damage,
If both gets hurt, there is God
Else, they are merely Human.
Theme: Searching Humanity
Shared from my Anthology, Canvas: Echoes and Reflections. 2018.

Make sure that you find
before you seek.
I know this must sound strange...What this poem is about is belief.
Basically, be sure to discover and understand before you look for what you want. Physical or not

in the dark
blind to the eyes
opening of a mind
i seek
i search
unsure what to find

& in the blink of an eye
my mind
goes blank...

the light
at the end of the tunnel
i can barely capture the essence
heat radiating upon my face
as i open my eyes
the thing i sought
is in view

struggling to seek reality
a key
right out from under me
alive in a senseless dream
hello, do you hear me?

found, at last
hold my breath
but could it be
that certain thing
that one wish
that i would seek
