Phantom Poet Jul 2017
I onnce saw a documentary,
a man with many voices in his head,
Everybody considers him scary,
And they tied him to a bed,
He was not evil,
Nor was his will,
He had this beautiful mind,
Craziest creativity he could find,
He was never alone,
Always someone talking,
With a different tone,
Everyone says that,
You get I be shot at life,
But this man has two,
Or maybe many,
Just because someone is different,
To an asylum they get sent,
And probably that's the end,
To their beautiful life

Nothing in the shadows
Lurking in the dark
They know my name -
Curling with their fake smiles

Just watching me
Watching me burn

Wither in fire,
Give me their mark -
And find something;
Something;
More in their eyes.

Can we talk about
the white paneled walls
revealing the shadows
of demons and ghosts
roaming about in the halls?

You’re telling a story of a recent holiday
It reminds me of a funny joke I know about a panda with a penchant for French bread
I launch into it, enjoying your company, engaged in the action
But midway through speaking I stop
-
The scorpion that just appeared on the table is huge
Poison-filled tail arched over its back
It opens its mouth, revealing three rows of teeth
And prepares itself to strike your hand
I want to yell out but I’m frozen in dread
You seem more concerned about me than yourself
No, not concerned – confused
Can’t you see it, the creature right there on the
On the–
-
It’s gone, like the others have before
Back to the secret place in my brain
I know they’re not real
Or, I know they’re not real until I see them again
-
I try to return to the joke I had started but now you’re distracted
You make your excuses – not bad ones, I’ve had worse – and leave
Leave me to the voice of The Reminder
Who tells me once more that they’re coming to get me
They’ve not caught me yet but it won’t take them long

Hello World
Do you see me
Sitting on that dusty tree.

Hello World
Can you hear me
calling out
for mercy.

Hello World
Who am I
Why oh why
Do I cry.

Hello World
Who are you
Who is it
That I'm talking to?
Thinking of making this into a song :D

The stars are pouring through the night sky
Like the tears of a heart without a place to call home
All the questions of 'what if's and all the unanswered 'why's
But if you look close enough, you'll find the beauty in the darkness

There's a story to be told
A lesson to be learned
Never forget that some bridges
Were meant to be burned

They say that misery loves company
If that's the case, then you were meant for me
Though often enough I find myself all alone
While surrounded by most grandest of grand company

But I promise you this with the utmost certainty
That if you look close enough you'll find the beauty with in the darkness

Cause there's a story to be told
And a lesson to be learned
And promise to never ever forget
That some bridges were meant to remain burned

Sadly our paths shall meet their part
For fate favors not the song of our heart
And as it turns out, it is I that misery seeks her company
So please don't bother transcending the tortured existence
Miss Misery gracefully gifted to none other than me

And remember that story that was told
And all the lessons that had to be learned
Oh, and yeah, did I forget to say
That some bridges were meant to burn

Please don't look so sad, if you look close enough you will find the beauty in the darkness
