Only for an instant
can you witness the parting
of the mist over the ocean.

The heavy
pink curtain collapses,
swallowing the wavering shore
in its fumes

divides the sky in separate columns
          of gold and silver
in a single sensual gesture;

no existing border could be made out:
The dunes were a few meters
higher! The sky reached out to us
in the shadow of the water lines.

Could there be no love
For me to dive deep
Lost in pitch dark
Rest in nowhere
Could there be no pain
To Heal me bad
Write me melody
Remember nothing

I remember
What is not exist
I bathe in
What is not wet
Numb in roam
I continue my walk
I tread on the air
Read fading signs
I have nowhere to in
So lost and bewildered

What if I go back
And delete our first scene
So there would be no love
And pain
I would have clear sight
And wide lungs to breathe
Empty sheets
And goodness saying
Hey its personal

Cars speeding down the intersection
splash gold in the headlights,
every time,
glowing droplets against the dark
falling too slowly to the ground.

The last boats of the evening
whistle secretly across the silver nightwaters
like some lonesome lingering men
expecting their daily last-minute pleasure.

These kids celebrate the life
of the dead street pigeon.
Dark streams down their brown faces,
they intone their private lamentation-
One exposes the corpse
to his little circle, holding it up
the wings stretched out.

From her silent night haven
in the dark orange
ripping clouds,

she walks down
the flashing beach,
waist-deep in the water.

With a long looming gaze,
she chases the voices
from the rain

as I watch her still
silhouette
slowly fade away.

And when my blind eyes
will finally close
between every white urgent streak,
I'll see her smile rise
through the darkness & the dream.

The vast exalted sky
blasting through the tight tainted venues-

Raindrops stroke the window
of the empty bar. Tables soiled
with stacked ancient hearts-

A first sip from his drink.

Drowned out rings,
distant whispers,

a tempted calm.

A barmaid stares-

Under the cadence,
slow and dreamy,

something is changing.

They eye each other for a moment

A hum in the red sky

terrible sights of deathless tract homes

detached people quiet
around their long dining table

front yards at day
St-Augustine lawn
shivers in silent
madness

he opens the trunk and puts in the bags

curtains stir where
rifts form

always a plot
and a parallel romance

he runs to the cities
he has bigger visions.
