You go through void like a dancing Cliff
Bold,having nothing to latch onto!
In your highest highs tasting earth with gratitude
And yet you dance through and through.
Watchful of the background and vibration.
The mother and the child too.
sorrow came and washed away
All you thought would stick like glue
You cried and laughed along this wave.
You watched you could take nothing with you.
I know for a reason you paused,
Extracted the pain from your pocket
And sold it to the Sunbeam.
And you rode each wave, beaming, without a clue.
To my beloved Spiritual teacher who's had a huge impact on my life. Thx ***

I searched for God among the Christians and on the Cross and therein I found Him not.

I went into the ancient temples of idolatry; no trace of Him was there.

I entered the mountain cave of Hira and then went as far as Qandhar but God I found not.

With set purpose I fared to the summit of Mount Caucasus and found there only 'anqa's habitation.

Then I directed my search to the Kaaba, the resort of old and young; God was not there even.

Turning to philosophy I inquired about him from ibn Sina but found Him not within his range.

I fared then to the scene of the Prophet's experience of a great divine manifestation only a "two bow-lengths' distance from him" but God was not there even in that exalted court.

Finally, I looked into my own heart and there I saw Him; He was nowhere else.
But
In my heart .

Another mystic poetaster
quoting Rumi...
You might take it personally.
If so, sue me.
I'm not enraptured
by that sufi.
(A nice enough dervish,
but kind of goofy.)
You can spin Sufi poetry any way you please.
Give me the Oxford anthology ANY day...

Write it down, You fear people forget you.
You’re a garden, where children pluck roses
at daylight, singing about the beauty.
When night falls, they trip on roots they can’t see.
With the cold wind at their backs, they leave.
When day comes again, no beauty remains--
Petals and stripped stems crushed by tennis shoes.
Would you want a garden stripped of beauty?
Maybe, if flowers grew again in sunlight,
maybe children would return, laugh, and say,
“See how beautiful. See the beautiful!”
Was it not beautiful yesterday?
Lying dormant in the earth or sprouting,
know your roses will always endure here.

Growing, regrowing, roses bloom without thorns.
If you can’t see it, know you are lovely.
For the effortless way you let them leave–
your petals perfume the feet trampling you.
Alone, you wait out the night.
        Even then, you are lovely.

Excited for the gifts
This planet kindly gives
The wonders of the world are generously rife
It really is a magical life
If we are wise, we'll open our hearts, eyes and minds

I long to see Japan's elegant cherry blossom land
Geisha girls, eerily still they stand
Cooling faces with fan in hand

Walk for hundreds of miles, along the river Nile
Meeting friendly souls with weathered faces
love as their principle basis

Whiteness the overcrowded Mumbai station
Then rush to see a tea plantation
Where on your way your heart longs to stay
Here, forever you could lay
There's a calling from the hills, the wildlife thrills
But why stay still
There's plenty more to feel

The vast African plains a plenty
Where it may appear, but it's far from empty
This is the magnificent Serengeti
Here I'm in my element
Let me enjoy admiring the elephant
A powerful earth rumbling migration
Sees a whole new destination

Tysfjord with its breathtaking views
Norway is an artists muse
A landscape so still and stunning
To be offered more is a second coming
When night arrives with it northern lights
You'll be mesmerised by the natural sight
You'll stay up all night long
As morning is blessed by orca's song

Rumi was a wise old soul
His words are timeless
His advice is free
I take his writings literally

KOI AUR HAI
Tere  khaboon mai koi aur hai,aur tere sayee mai  koi aur hai
Kaisay tu dekhay hasrat mere,tu haqeeqat mai koi aur hai
Yeh dil kab tak arizoo karta rahai ,ab koi sabab-e-furkat **
Kaisay tu pehchaanay mere ulfat,tu zahir mai koi ,aur batin mai koi aur hai

Itrey sabnum ki tarah jalah hai mera daman bhi
Mai manzil ki jistu ju kya karoon, ab rasta bhi nazar nhi
yadoon kay samandhar mai dhoob chukka ab toh
Mai haar chukka hoon zindagi  aur ab toh moat bhi ati nhi

Bhulavou yeh gum kaisay ,dil ko kya dawaa doon bhar janay ki
Mai kyun nhi rub a ru khudsay  ,mai kon hoon  ya mujmai he koi aur hai

Faryaad bhi kya ** , naa ashinaa hai yahaan sabhi
Kis  mode pay kya  hogaye koi khabar nhi hummay
Mai toota huva taraa hoon mujmai ab wo  timtimhath kahaan
Lagta Aasmaan bhaag rahaa hai aur zameen fisal rahe ** jaisay

muntazir-e-humraah ** kya,jo rahai thi wo rahai he badhal gaye
Mud kay ab dekhoon  kya, akela rahai safar tha ya koi aur be hai
Mubarak ** tummay ab yeh jahaan dard baraa
Na mud kay kabhi dekhay **** issay dhoobara
Ab aur palkoon pay ashikay baar saha nhi jata
Laboon  pay ab aur bahaana bardast nhi hota

Waqt guzra hai, kyun naa mera bhi saleeka badhal gaye Rumi
Ab aur ranjishay nhi, bhula do ghar koi ghilla aur bhi hai
