Lay by the purple meadow sea,
where eternal dreams may be,
only in time will it flourish in me,
In a rural life, where my last breath should be

You strike my heart from time to time,
unexpectedly.
Little things I hear, I see, reminds me of you.

You rest in my soul and I feel the swishing of your tail,
from time to time.
Never have I ever lost anyone as meaningful as you.

You are not human,
but since the beginning of our time together,
you've always been more human than the next "you".

From time to time,
friends and family betrayed me,
but I always had someone to count on, you.

There was a time before you,
yes I remember.
They were never as whole without you.

There has been time after your paw prints left this Earth,
but I hope to see you again one day, as all dogs go to Heaven.
Coming home will never be as joyful without you.

Thinking of you from time to time, almost all the time.
There will never be another one like you,
my magnificent Maxxmillion.
He's been on my mind lately, the smartest, sweetest, cutest dog I've ever known to this day. May he R.I.P since 05/2019. <3

There is something special
About listening to
Calming music
As you're falling asleep

Your soul
Can freely float
As you rest
Underneath
Inspired by every Sleeping At Last song I have ever heard

Still unbelievable, Still irreparable

You were there for a shoulder
A motherly smolder

You were genuine & Kind
Wish could put this on rewind

You were there to inspire
Strong & brave as fire

Will remember you
For not that you're gone
But cherish our memories
And let it live on

It's never easy, never bearable
Still unbelievable, Still irreparable

One for my heart
One for my body
One for my soul

I am building a shelter
here in the silence

The pause between breaths
the moment when even my heart
gathers her rest, between beating

I can’t stay long

The scratching of pen on paper
a faraway helicopter
my gurgling belly
small feet running up the path

I’ll come again
when I can
You’ve come a long way.
Don’t rise up until you feel the strength
Rise in you.

You’ve given yourself to everybody around
Now you are on the ground,
So lay down.

Birds won’t fly until you stand,
Understand the need of living and giving
Believing and grieving,

Completing

Each task on your way.

It’s been a long one.
Let weakness capture you —
You are the one to fight for.

While you’re on the floor,
I will lie with you.
Until you are strong enough again

To gain every thing you’re worthy of.
Dearest October,
please be kind -
already the leaves are flame-bright,
and made fragile -
I am the same:
ready to fall to the earth
decay
and find rebirth among the twining roots

Dearest October,
please be kind -
my leaves are changing hue
and grown fragile
in the season of change,
ready to feed the hungry ground -
fodder for the spring rot

Dearest October,
please be kind -
my leaves are tearing away,
plucked and pulled by each ardent breeze,
My roots grow deep,
bracing for the winter
and the dark night of rest
Wrote this on September 30th as I pondered the change of the seasons and what autumn means to me 🍂
