I gained weight
my shoulde(r)s slouch(e)d
at the burden
I am carrying
that'(s) increasing
with my age
as time piles
my waist ex(p)ands
fertility is just an adjective
with(o)ut a part(n)er
sen(sib)ly carry(i)ng

Eyes so deep, you could drown
Felt like seeing a queen with a crown
She looked like she was in a foreign land
Broke away from a life that was bland
Smiling like a fool but was aware too
A big responsibility, only taken by a few
She was ready to take the next step
Now all that was left was for her to prep
It's about me... I'm my own muse

Not to string you along, my dear

but we cannot simply cut ties with the past

even the inconsequential have its consequences

You might outlive regret, but that doesn't mean all is forgiven

"I know where you live", he said,
"so it's best that you'll behave.
Don't get me angry or else,
I'll make you dig your own grave."

"Why are you like that", I said.
"I don't know what wrong I've done."
"You know what it's about", he yelled,
"you've been unfair to my son."

"But Brian is not the talent as you think,
he's insubordinate and mostly rude,
he will probably fail the term,
if he continues in this attitude."

"But isn't it your responsibility
to turn him into a decent being?"
"Education begins at home, you know,
although your kin might be disagreeing."

As the water runs hot
Hands turning red
Steam rising
It's all worth it;
To get it clean
Get it right

Scrub the pan
Wash the dish
It's all part of the plan
Savor the heart-felt wish

Get it done
No matter the pain
It's how it's supposed to be

Do your part
You don't need a heart
Or worse, a tongue
Just get it done

Wash, rinse, repeat
Steam roll and water pour
This task first, then a few more

Just get it done, and get on to the next thing. No need to delay.

When I utter commit, I mean to dedicate
First to Him, that gave my full birthright
And two to myself, the reason to create,
My commitment is my responsibility

I choose to commit, perhaps you may not admit
I want to melt my fears, thyself to acquit
Realize my valour, to knit again my grit
My commitment is my responsibility

I commit to trust my inner instinct,
Lest I stumble and be called extinct
I will teach me to always be prinked
My commitment is my responsibility

I commit my business to what is real
Perhaps people will get dull
Maybe I will find my answers in the baffle
And get busy making my now life blissful
For my commitment is my responsibility
