A word for the peaceful muslim,
who has no stomach for violence,
no passion for conflict,
no appetite for blood,

Stop laying your job at my feet.

I know you're not all mad, or murderers,
And know good and well
that most of you just want
the same thing that we want.

To raise your families in peace.

Trouble is, you see, that the peaceful majority
has never been relevant
in the shadow of the violent minority.
They fly your flag, and they keep a ****** agenda.

Just ask the Germans of 1945.

So I thank you to stop making it my job
to change public opinion about your religion.
If yours is one of peace, then prove it.
You've a lot of history to overcome, but...

Start by curbing your savages.
Then start loving your enemies.
Then try becoming their friend.
Inspired by a very pointed speech at the Heritage Foundation, 2014.

I don't want to
Throw up or Cry
& Overthink everything
At the same time

But I'm drunk
And it seems to be all
Which comes to mind

I really shouldn't drink so much
But who is to tell me
What to do
When all I need is rent
& food is a secondary expense

This adulting thing doesn't bode well
Too many bills
Too many responsiblities
Too many expectations

With blood comes too many questions
And isn't it easier to
Tell a story than
Actually speak the truth

Thoughtlessly people lead to
dead kittens
Irresponsibly people lead to
dead children
think and take responsibility
otherwise
we'll end up with nothing
but
dead kittens and children

Trying to hide from the day
As the world quickly turns
And time slowly crawls
As I count the leafs in the wind
Just waiting to see you again
Waiting to see you smile
Waiting to hear you laugh
Waiting to play and have fun
Waiting to read the next chapter
Waiting to hold you tight
Waiting to wish you sweet dreams
Waiting to kiss you goodnight
Waiting to tell you goodmorning
Waiting to make your favorite breakfast
Waiting for the next greatest week of my life

I've always wondered what it'd be like to run away.

The sun on my face,
The grass under my feet
A world of responsibilities
forgotten.

It sounds like heaven.

But I do not want to become a woman on the streets
covered in grime and dirt and starving.

My fairy tale does not belong here.
It is not a wish that can come true.

And yet I want it more than anything in the world.
I just want to not have to worry about work, school, grades, money, family, making people proud, disappointing people, falling in love - or not doing so.

I brush your brown hair
Away from your lightly-closed eyes,
Place a kiss on your tender forehead
And shoulder my bag,
Heavy with responsibility.

How I wish I still lay beside you,
Curled up in your arms
With your prickly chin on my shoulder.
But the sky is bright
And I know
I must leave and 'seize the day'.

The slow rise of your chest haunts me, dear,
While I brace myself for the end of the world.
No rumbling car or ringing phone
Could drown out your sleeping sighs.

I must go -- I must go!
Tear myself away from our cosy nest.
But slumber on, my dearest one,
For when you wake, I will adore you.

Do not let me fall down into this well,
please do not let me fall,
gain the strength to save me.
Come and release me from this cell,
smash away at this wall,
come and set me free.
Please get me out of this hell,
I have been brought down to a crawl,
listen please, to my plea.
No one is able to hear me yell,
It may be my fault they did not hear the call,
or maybe I was left cast out at sea.

My heart now your responsibility
Fate personally chose us two to meet
But do you have the capability?
Two passengers on the ride with front seats
Do you realize my hearts fragility?
You are willing to jump the life to come
With just us, we have the ability
Your words are like a song, a soft low hum
My own heart gently rendered the key
Time slipped the hour, slipping by so fast
Say sooth, dare not you lie, do you love me?
Please oh please, let this summer stay and last
Now I am finally yours and you're mine
Just you and me, I think I’ll be just fine

Listen to your heart
and let it lead you
from the simplest
to the most complicated
of revolutions

Bleed
and let your blood flow
to where it could nourish
the hidden child
to where it could drown
the most serious doubts

Love is love
when it is responsible
What is time
but a shared compassion
