we once were
weren’t we?
oh how we could have
been more?
different now though
happy with our paths
who knows
where we would be?
still that lingering
possibility
that more was there
i am now here
you are there
impossible
to compare
Still with
all the love
in our lives
there’s that
undying
spark still
in the embers

A picture captures a dream of a time
That I was living.
A time where the sky was always gold
And no worries were given.
My only responsibility
Was to be back before the streetlights.
Nintendo 64 with my friends
And Nickelodeon all through the night.
I wasn’t bothered by thoughts
Of what people thought of me.
We were true to ourselves
Even if we didn’t know what that meant.

I wonder if I went back now
To meet who I was back then,
Would I be proud of myself
Or see I’m way off track once again?
Have I found my truth
Or did I forget the lessons from youth?
Can’t help but laugh at this photograph.
Oh, it’s time that I went back.

I reminisce about the conversations I had yesterday
I reminisce about tomorrow, all those obliged conversations I know I won't like
I am so nostalgic
Why so?
Except when everything else is awfully quiet
My own knowledge is a self-distraction
And no point of views are allowed interjections
I reminisce about this melody
It always plays out in my head
Like a walking party
Such a quicksand!
The more I move the deeper I sink into myself
As time goes by, the more I understand personal growth. I now found myself more often than not needn't earphones to plug myself out.

Something for you to remember me by,
Maybe you’ll look at it everyday,
Maybe you’ll store it away,

Maybe someday you stumble across this,
And maybe you’ll reminisce

That there was one a ‘BAE’.
This is written for a gift that was given for a relationship which had no happy ending.

Our parting was silent yet the pain it brought was loud.
The tears were behind the twinkling eyes and sweet smile.
The fear of letting go went along with holding your hands.
The prayer for you to stay laid within feeling the  warmth from your embrace.
Looking at you with a smile was how I kept my silence.
Then I drown myself with  your memories as I reminisce.

Will add a translation later, sorry :(

Memories are just like the stars above.
Some shine bright. Some lack luster.
Some feel so near. Some, cold and far.
Memories, like stars, give the feeling of nostalgia.
Reminiscing the moments as how they were, as how they are.
Memories, like stars, grace the thoughts at night.
One makes the eye tear and the other gives it light.
Memories recalled make the heart happy and blue.
Because at the end of those memories, there's always you.
