We are in the night
Each behind doors shut
And marked with blood

Innocent blood spilt on the grounds
That it would give protection.
And protection it did give but

The cries of pain that laid over our city
And rattled in my room, filled me with regret.
I pray if it was necessary with no divine response.

So we let the ghost of loss pass over our home,
feeling it, yet letting it take nothing
And when the sun rises on the new day and

Brings us our deliverance of love—
For us there will be
A future.
Man craves reassurance,
I am nothing different to that.
We assemble groups of people to agree with us,
That the light doesn't just go out.
As if life were a dying lightbulb,
On an old lamp.
The kind that sits on my grandparents coffee table,
My family doesn't worship a symbol or God,
Will the light go out on them?
I believe in the man named God,
But we do not often talk,
My prayers are crude and unrefined.
Is that enough,
To keep the light on,
For a little long?
I fear not,
We will weep,
Becoming brittle.
People mourning shatter into shards,
For them, death is too far,
For them,
Death is the final friend.
Do you not think about it the thing we fear the most
Same way we will all end and have a string around our toe
Or is it just me wondering about something I really can not help
Something so honest but so hurtful to accept
Did it ever cross your mind
How soothing religion is to believe
Yet everyone still has that fear at the end,
because life isn't at all what it seems
You can only speak now
What you feel and what you know
But how certain are you of the place you end up when it's really time to go
They say give it to God and I did
And he gave the thoughts back
If hell wasn't such the curse
Would our good deeds still be an act
If you knew there was nothing at the end
Would you share that and instill fear
Or would you put your loved one's heart and mind at peace,
if you told them what they wanted to hear
In no way am I saying there is no super being
There's a whole wide world
So, God isn't what I'm questioning
What if we're supposed to just feel the right now
And feel all the moments
Just to say it has happened
Is that what the Lord only wanted
Life is a celebration
The poor suffer through, and the rich take a toast
But how can you be obsessed with something you fear the most?

although it's against his book to interlock hands, i see our favorite colors embrace in the evening sky.
his is yellow now. i didn't find that out until recently.
after meeting him again, i have basked in my growth. i am not the same. he is not the same either.
but difference is good. he always said yellow reminded him of my energy.
you can hate a situation so so much, yet deep down know it's right with the circumstances. this is exactly how i felt when we parted.
i pray the circumstances are in our favor the second time around.
This is a raw excerpt from before I got into poetry but basically I wrote about the red string theory and the differences of dating someone before and after he converted to Islam. spoiler from older me: the circumstances worked against us but most definitely in our separate favors thank God

Jesus got pinned down,
rose once after three days,
And they call it a miracle.

I pinned you down,
rose three times in a night—
Still, only you were worshipping
The way to Liberation, Moksha is through Sanatana Dharma
It guides us with a simple way to be free from all Karma
It is also a philosophy of Life in which there will be no trauma

What is the reason to be free from Rebirth?
It is because we will suffer if we come to earth
Sanatana Dharma frees us from all misery on earth

Without the Eternal Truth, there is no Purpose
We live and die as though Life is a circus
Sanatana Dharma stops us from a life that is worthless!

The reason we come to earth is because of our Karma
Without Moksha, we will repeatedly suffer in this drama
We can be liberated with Sanatana Dharma!

The way to Moksha is through Self-Realization
Then we attain the truth of God-Realization
Through Purification, Illumination and ultimate Liberation

Sanatana Dharma gives us our Purpose, Purushartha
First Dharma, then Artha. Then Kama, and then Moksha
But for this, we must learn to live in Yoga

This world is Maya. It's just a Cosmic Illusion
Everything is a Leela, a show, get this Realization
Then we will be liberated and attain Unification

To attain Moksha, we must go on a Quest
Question all beliefs and put them to the test
Then, trust the Guru who will do the rest

As long as we are slaves of the body, ego and mind
We will not have Liberation, the Truth we can't find
Moksha, our ultimate goal, will be left far behind

We must first overcome Avidya, ignorance that is dark
Then will come Realization, Enlightenment, that spark
Only then will we attain Moksha, and hit the mark

There are four doors that lead to Liberation
Sanatana Dharma gives us this Realization
Divine longing, discipline, dispassion, discrimination

Everything in this world is nothing but God
Every Soul is but a manifestation of the Lord
Jagat, Jiva, Ishwara are all one, they are God

With religion, science has no synergy
But with Sanatana Dharma, science has symmetry
Both Science and Dharma agree, everything is energy

As per Sanatana Dharma, Brahman is God
There is one Universal Power who is our Lord
Let's call it SIP , the Supreme Immortal Power, that is God

Two possibilities are there at Death
Liberation or Rebirth when we lose our breath
Sanatana Dharma takes us into this depth

The essence of Sanatana Dharma is in statements four
Then there will be Enlightenment, we will suffer no more
We would have crossed and reached across the shore

What is Life all about? It is about Realizing the Truth
Sanatana Dharma takes us to the bottom of the root
Then we will enjoy the Divine fruit

To be Awakened by Sanatana Dharma ends the dark night
We need a Guru, who takes us from darkness to light
Then, we overcome darkness, and the truth is in sight

It is Sanatana Dharma that creates Illumination
It leads us to Moksha, freedom, Liberation
Let us start this journey of Divine Unification

you lay me in the backseat of your sports car
body flush against me, tangle of limbs as hands grasp
nothing tangible, your body passed through me like a ghost
the old painful haunting of a memory playing in my mind
projected, big screen my eyes growing distant as you crept into my body
the thief in the night, alcohol breath
enough to make a girl wince
domina, purissima, immaculata sits in the front seat weeping
my eyes sting too, reminded of a pain
your man hands, big hands
calloused from work a girl like me will never know
pawing at the impure skin
big hands, man hands
the force a ripping now too real
working to take something
domina, purissima, immaculata sits in the front seat weeping
her cries harmonizing with mine
one that threatens to break glass, our aria of suffering as you split me in half
rending me in a way so whole yet incomplete
pain without the tender kiss of pleasure
man, all man, all terrifying unholy man
and as you pull me out of the backseat you ask
“was this your first time?”
“yes,” i lie
and domina, purissima, immaculata sits in the front seat weeping
the first time, with consent

If I had my way, everybody would Praise The Lord.
When we go to Heaven, there can be no greater reward.
God is great and he deserves my praise.
And he will receive it for all of my days.
Even though we don't deserve it, God will forgive our sins.
That's why people should Praise The Lord again and again.
Turning our backs on God is something we can't afford.
When the day is done, everybody should Praise The Lord.
