enchanting whispers
of lost love and new longing
penned with ink and heart
pure magic
thank you

He was blind,
but when he read the braille

of her shaven stubble it said

         one thing..

Fresh new book opens wide and swallows me whole!
Taking time to acclimate I catch my breath,
Focusing as scenes and characters unfold
To instill memories of their length and breadth.
Finishing one book a month is my firm goal
Few subjects considered are out of my depth
Reading encourages to take life in stride-
Back to my book! See you on the other side!

Your eyes sang the song of loss
And I recognized the chorus
I was reading a book in a place no normal person would be. When I was accomponied by a lovely gal who had the same plans as me. We never spoke a word to eachother but I've never felt so understood.

My mind so full of such few words,
Making my concentration fly out of my mind like a flock of birds,
A song,
A gong,
A chime,
A mime,
A lot of words fill my brain and some send shivers down my spine,
And some thoughts I question are they even mine,
All of them so tightly packed in,
In my skull so hidden deep within,
Pounds and pounds of useless grey matter,
Filled with noises from pitter to patter,
Legends and Tales,
Buckets and Pales,
Crab and Snails,
Sharks and Whales,
Words on Words on Words again,
I wish right now I could talk to a friend,
But alas the words the only come out on paper,
For you my readers to continually savor.
We all have those days when we can't read cause our mind is just to
pre-occupied

11 empty chairs,
12 empty hearts.

Careful, watch your step.
There's plenty of shards on the floor.
(slam)
"Could you please stop breaking the chairs?"
(slam) "sorry---wha-"
(nervous laugh) "We kinda need them to sit on...?"
(slam) (smirk) "Oh, no, you've got it wrong. Nobody needs to sit on these. Plenty of room on the floor."

Create to start day
Relax by midday
Learn by late day
Contemplate to end day
Read when it's not day
Dream it all away
Six steps to happiness!

I'm a teacher for forty three years,
Does that make me an expert dears?
It's a rocket science yet,
Teaching reading to the pets,
Some folk are born to teach,
Educating our students each!
Feedback welcome.
