i saw someone
kissing your eyelids as you fell asleep
wrapping their arms gently around you
and pulling you ever closer
i heard their
soft breath tickle your neck
all the way from here
and no i can't really hear that far
but also i can, you know?
i'm watching them
unravel the impossible enigma that is you
with effortless swagger and irresistability
while you gaze into their eyes
and i

i wrote two poems in the span of 24 hours. wow! is the world ending? hmm. i began taking intro to poetry at my college, so i'm probably going to have an inspired semester.

i watch from the eyes of jealousy
Life is so unpredictable. When you finally feel all is right, when you finally try to move on. Life is there again, set as a jigsaw puzzle. Some pieces just lying there, other hidden somewhere. And you have to set down again, trying to find the misplaced ones.
trying to put back the pieces

Your eyes can say one thousand words.
A picture
of the galaxies,
framed by your long lashes
which have the strength to latch onto me

Your eyes can say one thousand words
But you have not yet given me
the map
the legend
the dictionary
or the puzzle's key.

people say they are
nothing more than traits and behaviors
taken from others
like it makes them unreal
is that not all we are
borrowed pieces from
everything/everyone we’ve ever known
putting together the puzzle pieces
with no guidance no box art
till the thing you created is

You

-many parts combined into an original whole
-inspired and influenced by everything

This is the nature of a puzzle
Just a bundle of shapes.
Odd sizes with bits poking out .
Shattered, yet fixable.

Just a bundle of shapes
Left to the imagination
Shattered, yet flexible
They fit together

Left to the imagination
Yet structured precise
They fit together
Like they were destined to be

Though no one piece is the same as another
Odd sizes with bits poking out
Every piece is needed to complete the piece
This is the nature of a puzzle
This is a Pantoum style poem, which lines are repeated in certain places.

she is a beautiful puzzle, a riddle wrapped in a kunundrum. she is silent as the breaking dawn but striking as lightening, twice as bright as both and illuminates a maze for our souls to mix. that maze like the puzzle she is to my senses challenges me often. just when will she see her own light and accept, just when will she see my love and solve the riddle
the magic or so it seems to be of damages past haunt some. those pains ripple out to touch most everyone they know and those who love them most are effected.

And that is your niche I told her.
Finding all things lost.
If I were to swallow ten thousand puzzle pieces.
Each belonging to a different size.
A different color.
No matter how I hide them.
I have perfect faith that you will find each piece.
That's just what you do.
There is no hiding any part of me.
With the slightest look.
The slightest word.
You immediately know what's on my mind
and I love it.
Arranging my every thought to where you see best.
It's really a no brainer
Finding where I belong

Jigsaw puzzles completed
when you're around,
Rubix Cubes done instantly
as you speak your sounds,
you guide me through a crossword, cryptic
or not,
I can work out any sum
and untangle every knot;
by your side it's easy, you engender all my see,
you're simply amazing
and a place I want to be.

I don’t expect
people to ask.
And I don’t hope
for others to
understand.

I’m a puzzle
only I can solve.

Actually no,
I can’t.
