Chase us, oh Lord, for we run swiftly
Into our own ruin, so please chase quickly
Chase faster than tears can fall
Save us from ourselves

Embrace us, Lord, keep us from breaking
Help us in the undertaking
Hold us closer than the flailing wind
Be the peace that makes us whole

Clean us, oh Lord, in heart and mind
Leave not one spot of grime behind
Wipe us cleaner than blanketing snow
And let love ne'er run dry

Full moon and she  .  .  .
Beauties without crescent smile,
  .  .  .  Naked in starlight.

Butterflies dissolve like honey-colored lacquer
as I wander the insides of this bright amber moon.

I look for Mother behind a shaded glow-tree.
It is there that I find her folding clouds while bluebirds
dance in the hollow of her heart…

She’s redolent like star-oil from a night-blooming cereus,
With hair never-ending like shadows
sealed from the palest of light.
Her eyes are like tanzanite orbs set ablaze.
She wears robes made of koi scales, and silk from the sea.

As I gathered pearls for her from the mouth of lapis lazuli
shores, my feet touch the chilled sands as shells scurried
from my foot-falls.

As I fetched gossamer from a crystal spider
hiding in a nearby constellation, gold web danced through
my cramoisy hair.

With all of these things, I sat beneath a niveous dune,
out of sight from Mother as I made her a necklace that
resembled the remnants of a galaxy that she once lost.

When I presented my gift, she smiled, then gently
whispered:
"The bright galaxy standing before me is more than enough."

Roses are red
Violets are blue
-
These beads of blood are red
These dead lips are blue
-
The big bad wolf
Little Red Riding Hood
-
He hurt me, stole the most important parts of me
I'm Little Red walking naive and innocent through the forest
-
Mary had a little lamb whose fleece was white as snow
Baa baa black sheep have you any wool
-
The white is stained by the
Black of my stained purity
-
These are the tales I'll tell my children
I'll say beware the wolf
Don't trust
Don't love
Guard yourself
Don't leave the trail
Stay in the light
Don't let anyone near
Guard your garden of roses and violets
Keep your sheep in the field
Violets
Roses
Sheep
Wolves

You had been so lonely
Full of warmth
Waiting for me
As I walked past the cell block
Shuffling my feet out the door
Piping hot food
A welcome reprieve
You looked at me
As one of those magazines
Your father writes for
You kept me
As your mother's dying wrist
Was left dangling
In your outstretched hand
You smiled
As if everything would come together
All at once
I would leave you
Like a stray fed too long
You told people
It was because I was never loved
Properly
I was heavy sand
When you were the easing tide

A single white rose
A single white rose adorns my grave
It tells the story of a perfect life
A life untainted
Unblemished
Pure.
I'm working on a short story and this is a poem that one of the character 'writes'.

Scarlet, the colour of the dress she wore.
Black, the colour he smothered with in love.
White, the colour the child wore,
Little did they know she hid behind a mask.
Mother and Father, I apologize, I have sinned tonight,
I met him and he loved me more than he should of.
The pushing of pain, it hurt and made me weep.
The feelings of tension, I fell way too deep.
Mother and Father, I apologize, I have sinned tonight,
you said I should love him and I said I did,
but now I’m in love with him, another male,
another mask, he’s dancing in on his own.
Solo he is, solo he wishes to stay,
Duets is what I hope for.

I see her in white
Pure like the god who made her
Never to love me

I need to cleanse it, free myself
Of this burden  tainted upon
My being. Cinders are drenched on
Flesh
Spirit
Expunge
That which writhes is not burnt away,
So I must eradicate its stench
It violates upon my being
I unburden the pressures so released,
Pyroclastic flows breath exfoliation on my
Soul,
Pealed,
Freed
Of that stench scorched into oblivion
I relish in the torment of those below
Freshly parched earth as lungs burn breath,
"Fallen misery descends in singed flesh"
I release the Feathers weighted down
Haemorrhaging as crimson flows to the
Stems,  expanding into the beauty
Of death, I am
Released,
Liberated,
Redeemed
Upon the fallen as I step upon ash
"Bones, death, rebirth"
As no longer afflicted,
I am once again blanched as purest darkness
Is Neither black or grey
"But lucid white"
"As purity is only clean"
"I am purity of darkness"
And the taints of humanity are flakes upon
Silent statues upon the ground, I am **malevolent incarnate..

From the moment I saw you
You and that personality
I knew independence was your heart song

Such noble aspirations
Your heart reaches so many,
and creates new havens

Be courageous, young angel
Embrace your forever
Fly to the promise
Fade not into never

Understand that every house
was given strings
And in the present, and future
continue to find those perfect melodies

Conquer the many dwellings and expand your business
Have your aura linger, and encourage forgiveness
Kimberly you are an inspiration in the making for people, and I'm proud to see you during the social ascension.
