Pretty face, pretty times
Pretty was born with red signs.
Pretty taught me some really hard lessons
Pretty keeps trophies around for pretty reflection
When pretty lie, that’s pretty profession
Pretty turns defensive when perfection is questioned
Pretty will have you up at night second-guessing
Pretty was an ugly heart covered with pretty features

like a flower to the sun

paled lotus, mechanized motifs

lips pink, eyes deceased

Your long, dark eyelashes
Shadowing your eyes, warm.
Just need to glare at me
And at once I‘d yield to your charm.

Your long, black hair
Falls so elegant down your spine,
Or entwine braided around your shoulders.
Oh, I wish you‘d be mine…

Your nose dubs bold, minx,
With recalcitrance so adorable,
Enframed by freckles light
And skin so fair, what beauty pale.

Your laughter rings like small bells of bronze, light,
And your cheeks redden in your joy, even blush
And when you sit like this, dangling legs and hands in your lap,
You just can‘t hide that beauty of yours, tamed, unleashed.

Your red lips, so filled with loveliness
Smiling shy, but so adorable, in grace
Oh, what would I give for just one kiss
Oh, what would I give to see at least once your face...
This poem describes the most beautiful girl I can imagine. Sadly, I haven't ever seen such a beautiful girl, thus far. But, if I would, I'm pretty sure I'd fall in love with her right away...

isn’t it beautiful that our first reflex when listening to music is to replicate that tune,

with the same throats that are tired of speaking we try to make art
karaoke :D

I think I like my reflection;
at least when I’m alone.
But when there’s other people to compare myself to,
I find myself avoiding reflective surfaces.

her hair shines like the sea glimmering in the sun
flawless, radiant skin with a beaming smile
her eyes are like a trap, once you're reeled in all you can do is stare in awe
how i wish i could be her

boys treat her with respect, that's for sure
effortlessly gorgeous they say, even when she wakes up in the morning
she's the girl who everyone stops to stare at
how i wish i could be her

i see the way they talk about her
the respect and humility they have whenever they're in her presence
especially the way he looks at her, for some reason i envy
how i wish i could be her

she calls herself ugly
but i never will understand why
she's perfect in every way
oh how i wish i could be her
a best friend who doesn't know how jealous i am of her, the thing is i will never compare to her beauty. next to her i will always be the ugly best friend
