i want to dig out optimism
from the brown marrow
constructing these bones.

strip the faith and belief
from light and dark flesh.

maybe then,
the dirt my feet sink into
wouldn't stretch deeper
around ankles and calfs

until i'm submerged
from the waist up,
neck up.

body buried
thanks to naive hope.

The tune filled all of their ears
But was not present in the air.
I called to my fair lady,
But she screamed it was not fair.

It clearly wasn’t your day,
You live in tomorrow because you have no today.
You live their nightmares:
“he lives the dream”
They say.

4, 6, 8, 10
Here we go again and again.
Break your neck dancing on your head,
Because your legs have fallen dead.

Butterflies in your stomach,
And you shot them all down.
Now it feels too heavy,
What are you doing? Get off the ground.

Angels are falling,
Machine guns in hand.
“It’s not right!” you cry.
They can shoot, but not stand.

Caught in the crossfire,
You are lulled to sleep.
You’re twisted,
Your lives have been listed.
Which one do you want to keep?
idek what this is supposed to be. It's so random and I don't expect it to be good.

How beautiful a skirt
twirling.
Creating your own wind
a smile, so genuine
a laugh, a grin
Spinning in your dress
making the crowd
swirl
Dancing alone, in your favourite shoes
ones that weren't
handed down to you.
You dance in blue
Spots, and black.
The wooden floors and all their cracks.
You sing the lullaby
and dance yourself to sleep.
You awake in a song
and play it all again
on repeat
You dance in the box
That holds the jewelry.
from dancing, to darkness, that's all I know.
Either putting on a show,
Or in a black box.
I have not yet found, an inbetween

Thieves, thieves.
Christ are we petty.

Could not have imagined
such a death
Such a short-sited
venomous slip of the mind
such a death-toll...
so unpredicted-ably sad to see
            A mighty species
Die.

That's the fate of the fate-less, I guess
Our gods were a faceless
Mass
of derangement
Massive enough to take us to space.
What we've plucked from out of our souls
We can never replace

Such as it is, we have no chance
Put to death.
****** and detached.
That's how it ends
--surrounded.

We write out
these sorrows
that aren't really sorrows
and
Pin the tasteless love to our chests

Oratorical ****-hoarding
Trade-card victims
with no actual dignity left.

How embarrassing..
the glory of man-kind
To face a demise,
so mundane.

Forsaken by lies.

Our souls have been neutered and
Turned into tools for
Violently-popular
Prostitution-alized fools

Love for the luscious
the rush of the snarling
Hysterical rousings of
Tumultuous twerps.

This is the way that history ends.

Resting in our dreams.
Sorry for my last post,
I was drunk and tired and just slammed out a bunch of craziness.
I'm not going to delete it though because I stand by my point... whatever that might be.

I glimpsed a blissful morning,
That never shall be mine,
A life of nought but mourning,
Not all of us can shine

The darkness, far expanding,
A canvas painted black
And hopeless I am standing,
Far from my chosen track

Why would you give me burden?
This curse of birth and breath?
Where suffering is but certain,
I ask for only death

Take all your lovely wonders,
I have no use for these
The crystal skies, the thunders,
My heart and arteries

These words that do escape me,
I want none of their healing
I let my demons **** me,
The numbness kills the feeling

This flesh that binds resentment,
Each pulse: a new regret,
Why would I seek contentment,
When a smile is hard to get?

If life were truly sacred,
Why would it be despised?
Why would my hope not make it?
My dreams unrealized?

If only I could muster,
The strength to raise a knife,
From my throat, a red with lustre,
Gush out with all my life

Then fade away the sorrow,
And fade away the laughter,
No morning, no tomorrow,
No after,
Oh, no after
