when I met you
I was broken not desperate
you didn't save me
I didn't rescue you
I didn't beg and you
                    didn't bow
my heart and my soul
covered in scars -
some still angry and red -
didn't repel you
and yours, tattered and
covered with wounds
          long healed -
imperfections that made you
          wondrous to behold
we met as equals and so
fell equally in love
and this, my bride, is why
we will
         endure

Glistening water,
Harbors matrimony,
For us,
As it does for many.

Our feet,
Planted into the beach's sand,
Have carried us
Across treacherous land.

And now we're joined
Together on our wedding day,
Enveloped in blistering light,
That started as a ray.

We both agree
To love each other forever,
And life begins,
Light as a feather.

I will spend my days standing beside you,
Cradling myself against everything you are.
Loving you through any distance,
How near or far.

We'll make a life that's bold,
Like nature in its untouched state;
Together, our hearts will never grow old
And we'll be happy with our fate.

If we have a large house,
Swimming pool,
Our hearts' fire will never be doused;
If we have a small house,
No money with which to fool,
Our hearts' fire will never be doused.

I repeat to you: it will never be doused,
Stranger, then friend, boyfriend, spouse;
Life partner, harnessing perfect love,
Living with me in our house.

Our love is untempered, I promise you,
It'll remain that way
No matter what life puts it through;
They can't be stopped, our hearts destined to play,
That's a fact clear as day.
We've lived a thousand lives
together compressed in few
years time lapse

each of the stones on this
ancient field of remnants
and memories moved and
turned around

the mosaic of wide wisdom
gained as a daily compassion
after any storm of life has
raged against our hearts.

Could of filled a thousand times
Up I went, opened that loose pink hole
Must have felt like air between thighs.
-
But you were always wanting more in-kind
Up it went did you feel anything inside
Could say I was small I was 9 inches 2 wide
Keep it coming fill you up, my sacks gave too much
Empty shrivelled bags seeds sewn now only dust
T**ill the next time my **** *** Bucket love.

What I said:
"Hi."
What I meant:
I've missed you.
What I said:
"How was your day?"
What I meant:
I wish it had been with me.
What I said:
"Want a smoke?"
What I meant
Want to lower the smokescreen a little, love?
What I said:
"I'm hungry. Do you have food?"
What I meant:
I trust you despite my immense security about my body.
What I said:
"Meet me?"
What I meant:
I cannot sleep when I'm not in your arms.
What I said:
"Hi."
What I meant:
*I really, really lo-like you.
we have found each other
   across thousands of miles
   across different cultures and traditions

we have found each other
   among seven billion plus people
   on this globe

   finding each other
   was the easiest part

   strangers in the night

   staying together
   has been truly challenging
   at times

idiosyncracies
failures deficiencies fears
hopes wishes dreams
illusions and taboos
pieces of history from previous lives
keep popping up at crucial moments
   in often Freudian transfigurations

   innocuous words
   may trigger convoluted memories
   freighten new contexts
      with old pain and sorrow

   a gesture
   a tone of speech
   a situation
   suddenly turn into déjà vu
   twisting their present freshness
      beyond belief
   into habitual frames of order

   the prisons of our pasts
   do not offer easy escapes

yet we have found each other
among the billions on this globe

there is no other but the each
   to build a life together

the award of this medal is made to this man for
I think it was a woman who once said that love
is composure under enemy fire and a small act
of extreme slowness a willingness to endanger
his life between two people who think but time
and again returning to the field he maybe really
didn't know who ultimately sacrificed his life
either of the two parties ever were or when they
whilst carrying the fallen from combat and he
first really gave then broke each others' forever
will be cherished
in our aching

She said "you are the one"
He responded "you are also the one..."
She grabbed him because she was so happy
He was not so happy
She had finished her sentence
He had not finished his sentence
Before I was me, I was her.
Before you were you, you were him.
Before we were us we were nothing.

We've been here before.
Walked through the same door.
Never before meeting.

I knew you, the moment I met you.
I felt a connection, a tug of memories.
I knew I'd looked at those eyes before.

Soulmate gets overused,
but how do you explain the pain
when we part?

We've been together before.
Before we were us.
In the Here and Now.

We were then and past.
Soul mates.
Always and Before.
