Babylonia : Part Four - A Babylonian Paradise

Come in, come in, all are welcome!
Welcome to Babylonia!  Welcome home.
Every animal is welcome here,
You can be yourself;
You have no need to fear.

Babylonia has always and shall always be here.
The place for all animals, when they wish to retire.
Tired of the rat race?  Need something better?
Then Babylonia is for you friend, there is no place I’d rather
Spend the rest of eternity in;
I’d like to introduce you all to my wife and kids.

I am Groat, the goat and we have very lush grass.
Feel free to help yourself, to whatever you come across.
The world is your oyster; your greed is your clam.
This is paradise and you are all welcome.

Jungle to your left, ocean to your right;
Mountains beyond the valleys behind me.
Open your eyes to your new paradise!
Over a million trees and every day you will meet a new species.
It isn’t **** or be killed,
But I understand some of you have a need.

So hunt your prey,
Or raise a family.
Live your lives,
However you want them to be.

You can see through the water on a sunny day; I love the smell
And forget the pollution…This is Heaven, not Hell.
Whatever you wish for is yours if you can find it my friends;
But this Heaven is so large you shall never reach the end.

Eternal life here in paradise;
Generations of families sit together to talk at night.
Let us all be one great family,
Or let us all at least do as we please…
Then we shall be free.

The fruits of Eden’s vine are nothing compared to our fruit.
The juiciest, tastiest, manna sent from Heaven.
You are now all free to do whatever you choose.
I am simply here to welcome you all in…
My Friends;
The Animals.

Babylonia : Part Three - The Quest for Babylonia

There had been talk, of Noah’s walk;
The Gull spoke of a journey for all.
Every animal was to head east,
To find a place called Babylonia.
There was talk of peace.

A truce between the animals;
Well a truce of sorts, at least.
They had all pledged their loyalty to a Kangaroo named Noah;
He was to lead them on a journey to the east.

And now I speak of this journey to you all,
The fish, the crab, the whale and the gulls;
The birds, the octopus, the sharks and dolphins.
Let us all take this journey; they shall welcome us in,
To a paradise called Babylonia.
Our journey awaits us…do we dare to venture?

We can arrive before they do,
The sea is so accommodating.
No lands to cross, no hills to climb;
Just 360 degrees of water in every direction.

So let us swim or fly to Babylonia;
I bet I get there first.
We can leave the human race to their own destruction.
Let us all begin this quest.

The quest for Babylonia,
Shall be told through the generations,
As we shall all swim in the oceans of Babylonia;
We shall all begin again.
Begin new lives, begin new adventures,
Begin new families for generations.

We shall all survive and thrive;
Not swim through pollution and nets made of wire.
We shall go to the undiscovered seas;
We shall find our paradise with the other animals in unity.
We shall do whatever we please,
But we must be free from this Sea of Misery.

No human beings in Babylonia;
It has always been that way
And it shall stay that way forever.
Mother Nature has given us paradise…
Who are we to not search for it?
Do we stay here?  Or do we find a new life?

Babylonia : Part Two - Noah’s walk

Pandas chew bamboo, while you film them in the ****;
Red Elephants are extinct (Apart from a view).
Fly up high, escape the zoo’s!
The latest attraction is a Man named Hugh.

Hugh, Man?  Strange, he’s not humane.
Seize him and lock him up in a cage.
Tiger claws shall keep him in place,
Until the **** crows to tell us,
That the night time has come upon us once again.

With the darkness, come the Creepy Crawlies,
The Snakes (The Adders, the Pythons and the Cobra’s).
The Tarantula is being chased by the big bad Wolf,
Whilst the Bear has been poisoned,
By the Frog beneath his foot.

Owls spin their heads, as Buffalo’s charge away from the herd.
The Elephants follow the Rhino’s.  Such a noise to be heard.
Armadillo’s watch the Ant Eaters, as they sweep up the path;
The path has been created,
Thanks to the Rhino’s and Elephants at the head of the pack.
Birds squawk, as Eagles fly high.
A sure sign that the convoy can once more ride!

Ride on out, heading into the future;
There has been a calling, for a gathering of creatures.
Heaven awaits them, at the end of the rainbow;
Every animal is invited, even the Sloth.

The Mice sit on the Dogs head, talking to the Fleas;
As the Dog sits on the Donkey,
Who has lost his legs to disease.
The Gorillas carry them all aloft,
On bamboo rafts they found perchance.
As they sit upon the Elephant,
Who is being carried by a million Ants.

Gazelle’s rush past, with Cheetah’s in pursuit.
The Jackals stuck in the Bracknell;
They’ve lost the Cheetahs and their food.
But the Hippo will defend the Jackal, from the Crocodile;
As the Parrots collect the fruit,
To lay a path down the Green Mile.

For many shall pass through, whilst some will pass on,
But the way has now been eroded,
So at least we can see where we are going.
Follow the food; come one, come all.
Share it with everyone, there’s plenty more.

The Lions roar “Get out of the way!”
More Elephants and Rhinos are coming through,
To destroy and to build us a way.
The Chimpanzees are jumping and screaming…
Babylonia! Babylonia!
The Animal Garden of Eden!

Big one’s up front please, little one’s behind.
Get off the trail if you get caught short;
Someone please be a guide for the blind.
Make them walk the Conga in a straight line,
Like you were taught before.

Hello Rabbits.  Feeling savage?
The Deaf need directing, but they just won’t hear of it.
We need you to keep them in line and on time;
Do you think you can manage?
Will do Noah (The Kangaroo),
The way we breed, we could Rabbit surf them around Egypt,
If you asked us to.

Mr. Giraffe, could you please not do that?
You are stopping the sun, from shining on the Cats.
All you Bats, change places with the Cats.
I’d move if I were you, Rats.

Foxes and Weasels, go down the side.
You are used to cross country; you don’t need to follow the line.
Badgers, Moles, Shrews and Field Mice,
Stop playing with the Worms.
Take the underground; it’s dark, but nice.

Vampire Bats!  Stop that!
He may look dead, but he is just very old.
Sorry Mr. Tortoise,
But it’s not their fault they have no soul.

Penguins and Polar Bears, stand behind the Elephants,
When they wash themselves with water.
All the Sea Creatures took another route,
To get to the Babylonian border.
Heaven for all Animals, such a beautiful sight.
Not one bar to be seen…It is paradise.

It has Roaches and Bird droppings and no view of the Sea.
It has a jungle, trees, fresh air and the animals are free.
Free to breed and free to catch disease;
Free to live or die, depending on their destiny.

Now ten thousand years later,
A Babylonian Paradise is still thriving…
Not a machine, not a cage,
Not a human in sight…it is truly amazing.

Meet Mar 2018
Those squinty little eyes
everytime she smiles
Those sullen teary eyes
everytime she unreasonably cries
That walking on streets
holding each other's hand tight
Those silly silly things
over we love to fight
Those endless talks, that nonstop chattering
But being with her; everything is worthwhile

That staring her silently
When she laughs insanely
That enjoying watching her in bed
When she snores so quitely
Sheltering under the blanket
Snuggling each other tightly
Kissing each other against the cold
That warmth we could see in each other's eyes precisely
These little little moments are the reason
This life seems so worthy and lively

Wish all this could be true & not creations of my mind's illusory tunnel
Cause in those cozy moonless nights, I really wanna hug her tight and cuddle
Why this life ain't Just simpler than simple?
Why our feelings has started Judging over looks & pimples!
We live in the world where everything is blurred & puzzled
Thus it feels so safe living in your own imaginary bubble
Yeah, it’s a dream I wanna dream every night
Cause it feels like livin' in a dark paradise
Cause it feels so good livin' in a dark paradise
If only we could live a dream!
Is paradise an afterlife, or is it a feeling?
A release of being, freedom
a soul unwrapped?

Is paradise a pasture, litter with green luster,
forbidden fruit, collecting in heaps of loot?
A sanctuary?

Is paradise a common place?
A corner of space, where again I will see your face?
A haven?

I only hope, the after life has rope
Incase it's not what we expected.

I hope you're there, aware
of who I am
The many questions we ask about what comes next.
I see my lonely satellite
I'm not in paradise
Am I lovely too?

You like my arms
You like my stomach
But only when it has the muscle lines vertical and horizontal
It doesn’t look like that now
I have no one to impress
I never look my best
Is that enough for you?
Am I lovely too?

My thighs spread out when I sit
But I wear leggings under my jeans to make them fit
That makes me pretty, doesn’t it?

My knees have this ugly indent
My shoulders stab when I hug
My stegosaurus spinal cord could cut glass
I’ve used it to cut my mirror in half
Your mirror is perfectly shaped
It's perfect because it shows you
Am I lovely?
Do you love me too?

I’m never the topic of one's thoughts
A careless lady in competition with thots
These red bubbles of insecurity try to escape from my face
And everytime they try they just  get bigger
But so am I
The doctor says it's a good thing
I may be thin but I still cling
To the idea of being like Maria-
That woman is in paradise and it must be nice
To have someone singing about how you’re lovely--

Please, tell me you love me
The once tolerable parts of me are lost
And that is the cost of loving beautiful things
You don’t love yourself
But I love you
Am I lovely too?
I’m falling into space
She tells me its my safe place
I see my lonely satellite
Im in paradise when I think of you
Do you love me?
Am I lovely too?
this poem paraphrases lines from the song "falling into space" by Don DiLego
Amanda Kay Burke Mar 2018
Isn't it funny, how just hearing
his name makes you smile?
You feel like the blood pumping
from your heart could flow a while.
You are clear-headed
once given his advice,
He holds the power to transform
This daily purgatory to paradise.
He will make the world stop turning
on the first beat of your command,
He is the final piece to the puzzle
you before couldnt understand.
He completes the picture
You envisioned for your life
Beautiful despite the ongoing
Suffering, stress, and strife.
He has an extraordinary gift
One so special and rare,
The magic ability to capture
Your entire heart with just a stare.
He knows he could hurt you but wouldn't,
By doing you wrong or pushing you away,
It's obvious how captivated you are
By the spell he casts on you every day.
The bond between your two hearts
Is so strong it will never sever,
He is the one you love, and will continue to,
Long after forever and ever.
This was an old free verse poem I turned into a rhyme. I didn't like how it sounded before but now it's pretty legit.

Neverland is home for lost boys
Boys who are young at heart
Lost from reality
Family no matter what

Neverland is magical
So much pixie dust it’s enticing
Faith, trust, and pixie dust is key

Neverland is where time will pass no more
We'll dance and talk like little kids
We celebrate late into the magical night
Imagination and absurdity is embraced

Neverland is full of adventures
Where mermaids swim and pirates fight
Run through the jungle laughing
We poke fun at Captain Hook
Play fight with sticks

Neverland is paradise
Where we follow and ensure that the everlasting imagination is forever
Maturity and structure is taken away
Absurdity and imagination is embraced

Neverland is…
"The second star to the right and straight on till morning!"
(My first poem on here, feel free to give nice advice)
