Pink, purple, blue
I wonder why it is like this
I wonder when it got like this
Pouncing onto every chance I can get

Running away
From what am I running
Far away is all that I want
Running is what I think I want to do

I want nothing to do with anyone
Yet I want to be close to them
Yearning to hug them when they feel sad
I can't because I'm here, only a few can I reach

So close, yet so far
Seems to be a pattern
For a lot of things
Fire is what should surround me to warm the others while I burn
Nothing changes it seems
yet
Everything is different
Inspired by all the friend I can't reach

Dear Tristan,

How can you care for others,
          But not care for yourself?

What you stand witness to in others
Is strengthened in them
By the power of your observation

If mankind were a sun, would it dim
at the sullen forces each expels?
Not controlling the innate emotions.
Would it just burn bright for a time,
expelling  he need to be seen and heard.

Could we in power our reactions to not
consume, but to burn slower over time.
Nothing is between our actions and emotions,
we are the heat of each and every moment.

If we were a sun, could we not give light
to our contemplation, enlightening not
just ourselves but the spaces between our
reactions. Would be not burn brighter if
we took a moment to see the reaction within.

When you were cold, trapped in a dark place
pleading for my love and desires
I saw that you needed a light,

so I set myself on fire.

Enough said.

I acted.
Harshly,
'Tis true.
But is that all that maters,
When one judges an action.

I let go.
Wrongly,
Of my control.
But is that all that maters,
When one judges an action.

When an intention is sincere,
And an action wrong,
While others condemn both.
What matters.
When one judges an action.

Ay, the action was wrong,
But what of those who condemn for their own benefit.
Is it right to contend their words,
Or should I bare,
For wrong action done.

How does one judge oneself,
When no standard holds.
When,
Nor your mind,
Nor others' mind
Gives you anything to stand on.

You congratulate me
On every... tiny... victory
Like I am tiny, like I'm a baby
Whose cheerio bowl is emptied
On time with the finale of your meal
And cheered on when I'm not whiny
When fighting this or that ordeal
And like a parent to a child
You tell me that you're proud of me
As if YOU get the reward of pride
As though you built my profile
But through all your ignorance...
I smile
Entertained by anything shiny.
You didn't make me into this fighter. But I do hope you're inspired. You barely know me.

They say you need a job.
They say you need an income.
To sustain the family,
To tell Them what They told you.

But no one tells you to be happy,
No one tells you nothing matters when you're happy.

Find a way to be happy,
Live a life where nothing really matters,
Be happy.
