Welcome to the world of the soothing mind
We have achieved everything once considered impossible

We love our neighbors
We fight no wars
We possess no weapons

We will not achieve full spectrum dominance

We are sane
We ask for nothing
We give everything

You ask where is this world?
I say you are standing on it
But how can this be
For none of the things I say could possibly be true

Oh but they are
Because a dreamer can take you there
I just need one person
And it will become not about me
But instead it will be about we
And in it my daughter will laugh
As she did today
But instead of celebrating a moment
We will celebrate her life
And the life of your daughter
And your son
And mine

We have achieved these things
And it is because we dare to think that way
We do not accept the values of the material world
Nothing is for sale
Because what is priceless cannot be sold
It belongs to everyone
It is holy
It is shared
It is loved by all
And possessed by none

You won’t have to beg
It will be giving
You won’t have to cry
It will be comforting
You won’t have to hide
It will be liberating
You won’t have to wonder
It will be revealing
You won’t have to conform
It will be accepting
You won’t have to pretend

It will be real

There will be a day when you believe in what I say
But you may think you already believe these things
That you don’t need to be told of what is good
But do you believe these things?
Or do you believe in someone?
Or something?
Are you ready to live believing
Or die deceiving?
Are you ready to live naively?
Or die cynically?
Are you ready to live with a dream
Or die with a scream?

It may take one hundred years
A century
But I’m not waiting
I can’t
I will dead long before then
So I will live where I want to live
And it will be wherever I walk
It will be wherever I work
It will be wherever I sleep
There will be no consideration of money
It is about being honest
There will be no spin
There will be no pretend

I may not be shrewd
I may not be clever
But that is because I do not think that way
There is nothing to calculate
There is nothing to manage
There is no solution
There is no opportunity
There is no ethic related to money that exists
Because being true is what this world is about
And the light of this world shines on my children
For they will know their father
And he will NOT teach them how to take advantage of people
He will NOT teach them how to lie when lying is accepted
He will NOT teach them how to be comfortable with sanctimony
He will NOT teach them to display their ego in their every utterance
He will teach them to understand that those who only think of money
Can never their friend

What can you give up for honesty?
What can you give up for empathy?
What can you give up for sincerity?
What can you give up for integrity?

For what you leave at the door to paradise will disappear from your mind
If you can only believe that nothing is everything
If you can only believe that what is inside is the only thing
If you can only believe that who you are is not what you bring
If you can only believe that the world that could never exist is shining
But can you see what is before you?
Or can you only see what man has taught you to see?
What man has taught you to believe
About the failings of everyone
About the lies of commerce
About the desires of the flesh
About the worth of destruction

Yes
Welcome to the world of the soothing mind
Put down your sword
Be who you are
Let them be who they are
Because only love can be everything to everyone
For every color
Has a heart
And every color
Has a heart
And every color
Has a heart
And this is all that is to be known
And when this is known
Then every heart will know
Of every heart
And then you will know
Of what I speak
There is the day before and the day after.

The day before you'd poured sunshine into my cereal, brought me breakfast in bed and let the light shine through your eyes like I was the gold you'd been digging for your entire life. The day before you wanted to know if I would get teased about you, and I didn't say it wasn't necessary to worry, they were all already rooting for you. The day before I walked on a cloud, oblivious to the rain dampening my shoes like a warning sign. The day before you made me believe there was hope for me, for you, for us both to create a magical unicorn and ride into the sunset. The day before I was keeping you awake because neither of us wanted to stop talking. The day before we made plans. The day before you went out of your way for me. The day before I mattered. The day before I was so happy. The day before I walked down to the shop to buy your favourite cereal and spent the day watching sport to understand what you were talking about.

Then the day after arrived.

The day after, the cereal box sat the entire day at the same place and you forgot to text me. The day after I ran circles wondering if I should text you first and I caved. It took you 4 hours to write back two words. The day after I doubted for the first time in weeks. The day after I drank so I would forget the feel of your body curled into mine. The day after I was falling off the cliff you'd brought me to to admire the view and you weren't watching me. The day after you left me dangling because you were watching her. The day after, and even now, you are still staring away and I am still waiting for you to pull me up. The day after is as empty as a beach without an ocean, a winter without snow, a storm without thunder, a bed where I lay without you. The day after is my personal apocalypse where the memories of you crawl up like the undead from every direction. The day after is a desert and no oasis to quench my thirst. The day after is turning my phone on silent because I cannot bear my jumping heart every time it chimes and it isn't you. The day after is drowning my thoughts in alcohol until I cannot breathe and pray for it to be over. The day after is wondering when "after" becomes "now".
I bought you ******* crunchy nut and I a nerf gun and they're still sealed and everytime I see them I want to die

Summer sun and car rides.
We drive with Third Eye Blind and Oasis telling us where to go.
Which beach do we jump on today?
Doesn't matter, I'm counting the waves.
We came, found that peace and left our stress.
Sifting sand through laughter and digging holes with hands.
What else could we ask for in life?
That moment. Go find it.
Let's get back there.

Tears of creation
fall from the overcast blanketing
of the billowy, white fields overhead,
blended with a requiem
that only the absence of dawn could manifest,
and kissed upon
by the ever-fluorescent canvases
of smoke, and flame
that carelessly intrude
upon the horizon.

Oh,

how fastidious is the misting
that blesses this premature day,
invoking a spontaneity
within the mundane clockworkings
that symbolically define
the average,
the everyday
and the norm.

Glorious is this sight to behold.

Not only by our soulpanes,
but through the remainder;
our entire spectrum of sensory awareness
that we are so gifted to have received,
yet,
rarely do their values go little more
than depreciated.

The refreshment
that quenches our starving skin,
and slowly enfilms us
with the caressings of unrequited purity.

The dampening of the air
that perpetually enthralls
even the most tolerant
resisters to aroma.

The crispness;
unadulterated,
and without perversions of the modern day;
enrapturous are the resonant entrails of the strata
that ever so gently envelop,
and awaken our slumbering buds.

And finally,
but without conviction,
the resound of symphonic harmony,
abound with the alluring enchantment
that,
in seamless refrain,
could only be achieved
by such a reverent miracle of nature.

These are the moments in which I revel.

And blessed be Her,
who benevolently grants us
with such an immaculance
of cornerless beauty.

Graceful, and sacred is the oasis in the sky.

Love;
It's one of those things where if you have it
You know it for sure
And if you're not sure, you don't

A while ago I gave up on love
Because every time I got it, and thought I had it
Some one very close to me came and took it away
And I am left without it

At first I was doing well
I would not fall for it
I would see a nice guy, but would not buy it
Or, a boy would like me, but I'd avoid it

But now I've fallen in to it, the well of love
Oh, how deep is this well, with walls so wet I can't climb up
At last I splash in a pool of water
A pool of love

And in this pool I'm drowning
Now I am floating, flowing down a river
I am spit out at an oasis, a beautiful oasis
But now I'm breathing, even under the water

And now I am swimming, I am in control
I now see the way out, but I dare not go near it
For it is a desert out there, dry and lifeless
A desert with no water, no love

This love, I feel it
I know not if he knows it but I feel it
It's warmth, it's life
I want to surround myself in it

I dare not lose it
Too many times I have lost it
It is mine! I will hold on to it
No one will take it from me, lest they die!

Now I believe in love
And it's all thanks to him
He unburied my love
Now I love him

Just when you think you're giving up on love, when you think there is none left for you. (and we're not talking about the gushy stuff)
