fingernails to rock
crawling up this mountain,
sweat fills the air, my cheeks
flushed, embarrassed of how
much effort it takes me to
deal with this burden but it's
okay, as long as I make it
one more day. I will have won
the race against myself.
That was before you
wanted
to do anything with us.

That was before I
trusted
you.

That was before I
trusted
anyone.

That was before I
trusted
myself.

That was when I
only trusted
the glow of my laptop in an empty room.
I guess I’m doing better know? But then why doesn’t anyone that I trust talk to me? Reach out first?
Poetry calms the savage beast
That’s what they say, to say the least
My monster rages within myself
It doesn’t answer to anyone else
Not that it does just what I say
It takes over, it always has its way
I keep on raging, it’s only in my mind
Rage against the world, or whatever I can find
Sometimes my rage comes out on a page.
Return to Grace

Every now and then, the world tries to convince me that I’m broken.
How funny this is, coming from a broken world.
Then, in the silence of my efforts, I look up and realize that my resilience is still mighty and that my indomitable spirit is still soaring.
I am not broken, I am just beginning.
The world is opening before me, and I am receiving it with care.
I feel my grit and resolve rise within me, and I smile because they have not waned.
My spirit was fortified in fire; it can withstand a little rain.
I turn inward, more gentle with myself.
I return to grace.

Everyone thinks I’m an idiot.
Even me.

My friends think I’m funny
but not smart,
not sharp.

I got a certificate to belay while rock climbing
just so I could be like my friends,
but Ryan wouldn’t let me belay him.

Claire thinks I’m not good enough
to teach others how to climb.

Mira told me,
“you’re the last person I thought would know the answer,”
while we were studying for a final.

I felt unsteady afterward,
like I was winded.

My mood sank fast.
There was a pressure in my abdomen -
like I had to take a ****
but I was holding it in.

And on the same note,
I wanted to run
away,
out of sight,
so I could **** in peace.

But instead,
I laughed it off
and smoked cigarettes on the porch
when I got home
because I’m too stupid
to read the label.

I am convinced by my own actions, too
although I can’t decide
if it’s my forgetful brain
or just my personality:
aloof,
head in the clouds.

I remember walking through the halls of high school,
friends passing by, trying to get my attention
but I was staring at the ceiling again,
at the scattered marks, how they had no pattern,
and how that somehow made me uncomfortable.

Either way,
the stupidity sticks.

i say i want to die
but i'm a fake suicidal maniac
just a small fry
who never fights back
can i use a neck tie?
or is there a hack?
i ask 'em questions
yet never doing 'em.

Those who haven’t done self healing will never be at peace in their minds
Spiritually god is always with us in our minds in our thoughts and the devil is winning because Society is man, not God
Society made the Bible fit their purpose
The Bible was always a book on self love, Self reflection
The pain, the guilt and shame you feel Is the conditions or trauma you've endured
Society used it to control and manipulate which is what our world has become.
We're a world leading lost sheep.
Generations lost because we don't know who we truly are.
Only those who gain understanding of themselves will find Gods words in the Bible were for you. The Bible is not to be interpreted by man to use for their own gain.
Society lies.
We need connection
We need community We need each other
We are humans who need community
Church is not just a temple
If you ever do the work to heal your inner wounds you will find peace
Peace in your heart
Society…you have to question everything u were taught but u also have to see past your perception of reality
I went into therapy and found a spiritual awakening
I am light in everything i do
In Everything i say
Everywhere i go
My light is all that i know
I am not afraid of the dark
As i shine brightly
In myself i am home

I’d like a coffee.
Which is strange,
because I don’t like coffee.
I don’t feel like myself today.
