I had loved you.
You were the best thing that ever happened to me.
I had loved you.
Even if I was still too small to seriously feel.

You cared for me, nurtured me, protected me,
Yet I had never told you just how much I cared.
I had never told you how much I was jealous when my brothers
Said they loved you, and I could never say.

I never spoke to you, not even a bit.
I never thought I could ever feel so much guilt.
Even after so many years,
Even after so many tears,
I regret never telling you just what I truly feel.

I loved you with all the strength of a universe,
No one could deny.
Even after so much remorse.
Even after so many lies.

Now it is too late to tell you that I love you;
Say the the three words that now cause me pain to say.
I will forever live with the regret
Of starting to talk so late.
Story of an adopted daughter who wishes she could have said she loved her father but started talking years after he died.

you shattered my feelings
and i tried to digest the
shards but cut my vocal
chords on the glass. i find it
difficult to talk now, but it makes
no difference because you never
listened to my words to begin with.

looking at you is dangerous, like
when you stare at the sun for too long and
it puts a strain on your eyes. it burns,
but you're still beautiful so i tolerate the pain.

i knew this love would hurt me,
but i never thought it would leave me
mute and blind.
silence is the best remedy
for stress when life gets to heavy
closed mouth is the smartest way
an ever escape from the hurt and pain
sometimes we talk to much
causing the hurt to our selves
but if we keep our thoughts in our mind
then we wouldn't have to worry or cry
when things get hard
silently pray
have hope things will be okay
closing my mouth forever more
the muteness that I endure
quiet one

The best part about waking up in the morning is those first few seconds when you're just getting out of your dream. You don't remember anything that happened before. All you think of is breathing and the sun shining through your window. For just a few brief moments everything else is put on mute and I forget about how much I miss you.
that is what I have been
for 8 years.
I've been a mute.
I have been expected to take the ****
to make the impossible work,
sleep it off,
and take what i cant dish out.
Don't expect to understand me
my life's story
is really quite boring.
He  wants you to think
that I am just a perfect, quiet little church boy,
that has a demon side to him
he has lied for years,
each time pushing the mute button a bit harder.
I am a mute,
but it is time for me to speak.
He won't expect it,
he WILL regret it.
He is responsible for my scars,
and they want revenge
I'm coming for him.
I shall arrive only so soon
the dagger in his chest,
8 years of damnation
will fill his soul.
He will be muted
just as I was,
*so long long ago.

This is for the weak
The ones afraid of the light, the ones tortured by sound.
Unable to walk, unable to see, unable to hear.
But this will not stop us, for the weak, we rise,
For the weak, we speak.
We will shout for those who are afraid.
We will stand for those crippled and mute.
Together we can help each other
Like we're supposed to
Race, Religion, Sexuality, none of these matter
We are all human
Each and every one of our lives are precious and beautiful.

I will help
*One step at a time.
I cannot communicate without a pen in my hand
And constant moving pictures of a dreamland
I cannot speak outside of a piece of paper
Emotions, opinions, thoughts, and truths are components to which I taper
They are the ones who crush my lungs to make me mute
My tongue has vanished and my face is smothered by a makeshift suit
It makes the physically impossible situation of uttering a word
My head becomes completely barren, so no thoughts could be caught by the sword
When I am in the place that makes me gone
The biggest truth I could ever mutter is “I don’t know”, but no one seems to catch on
It means I have so many things to say that “I don’t know” means I don’t know where to begin
That moment where I believe I have something, so I start to move my chin
But my words are a silent breath, leaking out of my closed, frozen lips
For someone to understand my struggle and pain behind this would be as rare as an eclipse

My mouth is wrapped in razor wire. The less said the better. Whole worlds are caught between my teeth. My eyes are somewhere between moons, and my nostrils breathe the mist of demons. My earlobes have the jewelry of vast continents. And my throat is strangled with amethyst tears. My hair wraps your shoulders. My pearls touch your belly. And my hands? They flutter like leaves in the wind to catch galaxies. I long to say the three words. But deserts live on my tongue.

Yet it takes only a moment to say goodbye.

This is a new style for me. Let me know what you think.

I actually do have a problem with my mouth. A tooth broke off, and it grates against my tongue. Hence the poem.
