You saw it as I did, clear as day:
Orpheus, with his heart on display
Raising his golden voice as if to pray
That Hades would not make his lover stay.

I saw it as you did, on that stage,
Eurydice opposing Hades' rage,
Rallying the dead-eyed workers to engage,
A songbird trying to break free from her cage.

We watched it unfold before our eyes:
Hades penned that fateful compromise,
Persephone, her arms raised to the skies,
Hermes already fearing their demise.

And in those final moments, I was sure
As lovers faced each other on death's door
And went their separate ways to love no more
That I'd never loved you so much before.

With every letter you wrote me,
I knew you'd be mine forever.
I thought you were mine forever.
You built me a whole new world,
Villages and castles,
Forests and oceans,
From just your paragraphs.
As I read them again,
I search for the time that you were mine,
I search for your love,
For the proof that you belonged to me.
The world seemed to burn down around me,
our world crumbling with our love.
Do you know what my mother said?
You're obsessed with your legacy,
paranoid with how they deceive you.
Now, you have forfeited the place in our bed,
The place in my heart,
The place in our love.

Fireplace eyes.

Flower girl in open café.
With exploding yellow dress & cute short hair.
Sees the look on my face.
Smiles & Says nothing.
Standing curious fixing a scratch on the wrist.
I Stand outside trying to make sense.
Filling classical glasses with fog.
Distant but sure to say something.
Spotting an invitation that'll be sure to be groovy.

And I am not alone,
I hear the walls repeating:
"I'm comming, wait for me."
But I never got out.
A poem every day.

I catched a glimpse of you,
Running through the moonlight.
You climbed the barricades again,
Because you fight day and night.

I didn't see your face that night,
But I know you looked beautiful.
And even though there's chaos here,
You made my world feel peaceful

I see you standing there, every day,
Waving the big red flag.
But you're so far ahead of it.
It's not the revolution, it's me, that you outdrag,

I see you fight here all the time,
And I get filled with pride.
So as long as we'll stand on the barricade together,
We don't have to hide.

You are my barricade boy,
And the revolution is ours.
And someday we'll fill the world,
With black and red flowers
