I'm gonna get me a record player,
So I can throw on jazz vinyls,
Classical symphonies, modernistic musics, raptastic tracks-ish.

So I can hear those low notes blow,
Those high notes reach, whistle, then pop,
So I can listen to all 'em tunes,
That got me thinking about you non-stop.

(Some peaceful vintage music)
I was working,
Right on down at the sandwich shop.
When a dainty little lady landed at my counter,
With a twirl, a smile, and a sparkle too,
She parted her lips to let a beautiful sound through.
'Hey-ya sandwich man,
You're lookin' rather tasty,
And I'm one hungry girl.
Boy your sweet smile is gonna make me stay for awhile,
Mind if I get a taste babe?
Just a little sample of your loving,
Because a boy like you makes a girl go crazy!
Believe me baby, I didn't come for a sandwich fool,
I came to see if a could get a soda pop,
With a small side of you.'
Woo-ooo she made me drool!
A slender thing with bouncy curls,
You better believe she sent me for a whirl,
With her flicking lashes and skirt twirl!
I never thought I'd thank my old boss,
For taking me up to his old shop.
But with a skip and a hop,
I thanked cranky ol' pops.
Then I got going,
Cause she needed a strong hand,
To make sure hers don't drop.
I'd recommend a good dose of jazz music to anyone feeling a bit down lately.
Under siege
Piano keys
Assaulted by staccato breeze
Across the ice, voices plead
And from contorting accents,
Legato’s free
Sadness and some misery
Then pauses in between
2 beats, 4 beats,
CRASH CRASH CRASH
Below, my finger starts a clash
But quickly it goes slow once more
Higher, where the angles soar
Harmony seamlessly flows together
Before the clouds cover light
And the air thickens
Suspense trickles down my bones
And exalts itself from the rule of the instrument
To run away into the audience’s ears
Which leaves the silence, and joyous tears
Bravo, Bravo! I hear them cheer.

i will do anything
just to feel everything
that anybody can
that everybody can

i would do everything
just to feel anything
i would cut i would burn i would crash
i would be the tray for your ash

cuz now i cant
feeel your toouch
without it stinging
and i cant heear youur voice
with my ears ringing

i drop the knife to the floor
run straight to the door
and i scream
"i just want to feel like my life aint a dream"

writing my new song.
In my left ear,
Mozart on two times speed,
In my right,
The full Bible read in Chinese.
The strange writers in my mind,
Will take inspiration from anything.
So here is a sentiment in Chinese
When I was young,
I believed they were 'Morning Doves.'
That they would fly down in the night,
To rest on my lawn.

Now that I'm older,
I know they're called 'Mourning Doves.'
That they were named after their haunting song,
Of all Earth's sorrows and plight.
They are a disturbing and entrancing bird.

Fingers press ivory, soft at first,
whispers of something too big for words.
The melody sways between sorrow and longing,
between joy and the things I can’t explain—
but no one ever asks—
it’s just a song, just the keys, just a hobby.

The low notes ground me, steady and sure,
a place to rest when the world is too loud.
The high notes lift me, weightless and free,
each chord a breath I didn’t know I was holding.

They hear music, not meaning.
They hum along, never knowing
that every note is a reason, a refuge,
that the crescendo is my pulse, my purpose,
rising and falling like a heartbeat.

And when the last note lingers,
hanging in the quiet like a final exhale,
I close the lid,
not because I am finished,
but because I know—
the music will always be waiting.

He wouldn't compose a cantata,
A symphony, song, or sonata:
     The best of his best
Is a piece that's one rest,
Played f and with a fermata.
I'm a rap addict,
I breathe beats,
I crave rhyme,
I like when the track,
Tastes like lemon lime,
How many kinds of music,
Keep making you come back?
Not enough,
Shout out to hip-hop,
Call out to rap.
My all time favorite music.
