You always belonged to someone else
So I can't complain that you've gone
You were never mine to farewell
Now all that's left is to move on

I never thought it'd be so hard, never thought I'd fall so far
And though we never shared much more than one night at the bar
You've come to mean so much to me
I didn't think I'd feel this way, I thought I'd be okay
Now all I have to take away are memories of that day
You've come to mean too much to me

And though we're standing side by side we're further apart than before
After all this time I realise new cities don't open new doors
There are fewer oceans between us but we're still worlds apart
Forget San Francisco, it's with you I left my heart

So this is the beginning of the end
It was so short and bitter sweet
This is what it feels like to lose a friend
That I never thought I'd meet

I shouldn't have let down my guard, shouldn't have fallen so hard
I wish we could have shared much more than that night at the bar
You came to mean too much to me
Thinking I would be okay was a sure sign of my youth
The way I feel today shows it was a far cry from the truth
I can't let you mean so much to me

‘Cause though we're standing side by side we're further apart than before
After all this time I realise new cities don't open new doors
There are fewer oceans between us but we're still worlds apart
Forget San Francisco, it's with you I left my heart

Written when I went travelling and met someone I'd have liked to have become closer to but who was already taken.
Don't worry,
one day,
you'll get curious
and look me up.
Then you'll wonder
what happened to us.

How ironic it is that you need to cross on something broken just to get to the other side.
Funny, right? When i first saw this road sign I thought to myself, there might be something wrong in the sentence construction. But as I ponder on it deeper, i realized something significant in a person's life: YOU REALLY NEED TO CROSS ON THE BROKEN LINE TO GET TO THE OTHER SIDE.

There is a cautious voice inside that may cause you to stop in the middle of your tracks. You will experience bumps and may be chased by cadillac pains, and yet...

there is something about your exhausted breathing, strained hands, bruised feet, that sends a tingling sensation into your chest; your pumping heart is still fighting for where you want to be. You take a little step forward. Again. Because you strongly believe that beyond these broken lines, just beneath the horizon of clouds, is the place where you belong.

You cross the broken lines that make you feel incomplete to fill in the gaps.
Slowly now.. making your self whole.
For the nth time.

Like a thought brushing up against a sigh
The notion dies before my passing my lips
Wilting somewhere in my skull
Like a world-weary moth.

Flutter flicker, stir and sleep.
Stay where you belong.

I have too many regrets
In my mind they rage
These feelings I want to forget
Put me inside a cage

The past catches up
And rips apart the future
My feelings pileup
And I can't stop the torture

Then I open my eyes
The dawn is here
Beautiful is the sunrise
I never want it to disappear

Staring Up At The Plain, Lifeless Ceiling,
I Spend A Sleepless Night Alone Talking,
The Ceiling Says That It Is Never Falling,
And That Her I Should Finally Ignore,
But How Do I Ignore myself knowing,
For She Habitually Uttered Such - Lies,
I Had Been Such A Foolish Young Man,
Best Way To Moveon Is To Stop Feeling.

If you could hear me
This is a story of love
In a world full of hatred
This couple saw enough

My friend
If you could loose hope
What's there to gain?
You could have strived
A little bit to get something
To see if your life matters
As everyone else

The couple left their homes
Eloped to a farther place
And made up their new life
New faces to hope good
Spread love and joy around

Wish you were with me

(Do not let yourself down)
Change yourself or change your surroundings

while you were sleeping,
stars stepped out to dance,
trees whistled a tune with the wind,

river shimmered a firefly glow,
sheet of grass blades spread cool,
street mongrels howled a love ballad,

cat clawed a tune on the guitar,
the late Ravi Shankar plucked
divine on his ghostly sitar...

while you were sleeping,
world made a blanket of clouds,
crown of a dozen sunflowers

ii

while you were sleeping
I delved out of this dream
and finally opened my eyes,

saw illusions on angel wings,
mermaids celestially sing of
beauty's imprisoning knots,

dazed world of impossibilities,
eternal bewitchment, disparities,
all afire in new unbiased light,

it is the puzzle that binds you,
not its swab drab culmination,
a loop threading in forever land,

iii

while you were sleeping
I fled the valley, the valley
of hatred, fear, the blind,

while you were sleeping
while you were sleeping
while you were sleeping

Some say
You don't need to worry
But it seems complicated
Appreciate yourself
Are you going to stay?
Stay there, don't move
Everything will be alright
Worry, but don't panic
Just believe in yourself... you can do it.. but worry ain't a bad thing
