What motherhood is
rediscovering
your whole being

in these multiple foci of endless universes

Finding spots of
happiness
hidden amongst

These oblique moments of time

Learning that
salvation
is

Her

And within

Her

coarse form of courage
to take it

One step a day
Two breaths in
One slow, really slow out

And still
when she goes out

She'll do so brightly

With that genuine smile

Dear mom,
I’m a mother myself now.
A mother to a little boy and girl,
and both of them are just like me,
and everyday they remind me
that I was never the problem.
As your daughter I forgive you, but
as a parent I will never understand.

-I am breaking the cycle
Once upon a time, I used to get angry with everything.
With how I failed, My failures, My attempts at success — Which resulted in nothing but failure.

And then, there was my mother. Who showed me the mirror.
That it was not the failure I hated, But my laziness.

My non-hard work. My waiting — For results, Without doing the hard work.

That was the main reason I failed. Which I knew… maybe somewhere inside. And then — She showed me the truth.

The books I tore — Because I felt they were not helping. Or maybe… I knew deep inside I never studied them properly.

But when I woke up the next day, I found the book taped together — Still having the scar, But still intact, Just like mother’s heart.

I am sorry, mother.

I will surely become the best version of myself.
Even better than the version You show me in the mirror.
My mother is the mirror who shows me all the flaws that I am aware of and I hide , but not to shame me but to improve myself .
However this is something which many of us do not realise in this short , fleeting life.

A silly girl
Loved a stupid boy
He was her everything
She was just his toy
He played with her emotions
Put mixed feelings in her head
For that stupid boy
A million tears that girl had shed
His friends would laugh
In his fun they would share
They knew he was a player
While she thought they were the perfect pair
Then came that horror
She was two weeks late
So she took the test
Could this possibly be fate?
She told that boy
The news she had found out
That was when she discovered
What he was all about
He showed his true colors
And crushed her pride
Left her all alone
For someone he had on the side
Born to her
Was a perfect son
This war she was fighting
The new mother had won
The prize was hers
To keep for a lifetime
A baby boy
Born to shine
I wrote this because i live with my dads mom and she takes care of me and my older brother by herself. she is like the mother i never had. i wanted to put myself in her shoes as a single mom and so this goes out to any single mothers, your doing awesome and even thought you may have times where you just break down, remember that those kids are the reason you are doing this. because you love them and what would they do without you? they may not understand that yet but soon enough they will, and the sacrifices youve had to make. be patient, as God will guide you.

they are mine
their beautiful dark head
their deep brown eyes
their caramel cheeks
their sudden shrieks
their torrential questioning
their soft hands moving
their skinny legs wriggling
they were born
as a she
they belong to me
as them
I belong to them
they are mine
they/their/them
their love all mine
all my love for them

Every mother is
everyone's mother.
Inspired by "The Wild Robot".
May is the month of Mary
May is the month of love
May is the month of all flowers
May is the month of all Mothers.

Let's celebrate all Mothers
Those who are poor and are living in huts
Those who are rich with fake eyelids
Those who are small with high heels
Those who are lofty in a giant pair of trousers
Those who are educated, stylish and sophisticated
Those who live sadly in the street corners
Those who worship the ****** Mary
Those who mourn, pray and smile.

May is the month of Mary
May is the month of love
May is the month of Mothers
May is the month of all flowers.

Let's celebrate All Moms
Those who bathe in the pond of misery
Those who wander hopelessly the streets
Those who are discouraged and disappointed
Those who toil every day
Those who practice love
Those who need to be rescued
Those who mimic the styles of Mary
Those who kneel, sing and laugh.

May is the month of Mary
May is the month of love
May is the month of all Moms
May is the month of the all mums.
