i won’t call you the sun.
you don’t hurt my eyes,
or blind me with your light.
you shine spectacularly,
but in a gentler sense—
like cherry blossoms,
ornamental in essence,
never promising sweet fruit
even if i help you grow.
but i don't expect any really,
i just want to admire your beauty
from the shadow you provide.

you’re not the moon, either.
you don’t need to borrow light—
you burn bright on your own.
your dark spots
don’t define your beauty;
your talent, your smile,
your infectious laugh,
your thoughts and care
outshine any flaws—
though honestly,
i don’t see any at all.

you are the nebulae.
beautiful and multicolored,
more than the eye can see,
more than the mind can reach.
you carry galaxies in your eyes—
light green and yellow-brown,
like forests and deserts,
the beauty of the earth
and the wonder of the universe
meeting in one gaze.

you are the stars.
seemingly small,
yet impossibly immense;
seemingly rare,
yet impossibly dense.
the only star i look at
like a sailor looks at the north star—
an essential on the sea,
guiding him home.

you are the mystery
that makes me trace lines in the sky,
connecting dots,
trying to find meaning
in what’s before me.
i want to understand you,
but you are so beautifully complex.
i used to think i was smart,
but you make me want to be better.
you are poetry—
the kind i cannot fully understand,
the kind with a thousand meanings,
and none i can settle on.

dear moon,

how i constantly seek your guidance

through the dead of night

wishing for you to illuminate my dark thoughts

i gaze at thy bright moonlight reflecting on
ripples of rivers

basking in thy calm breeze and the scent of
love & purity enveloping me

caressing my heart and soul

like a mother to her child

a woman to her wife

i abandon all worry and fear

for in this moment

i shall love without hurt

know peace without war

belong without suffering the loss of oneself

the shimmering sparkles

clearing the fog of my mind

the haziness of my sight

the agony of my heart

i find home in your eyes my love

an unreachable paradise so distant yet so familiarly consoling

how my soul unconditionally longs for your affectionate embrace

wishing upon every star

to be up above with you

through heaven’s soft clouds

like cotton and silk on my skin

praying lost souls find empathy

wrapping earth with our hearts

eternally pulsing full of love

                   sincerely,
                                             yours forever.

i sleep through the night,
my dreams aching, full of light

will they ever know peace,
as my soul yearns for release

i tread under bright moonlight,
a river clearing the fog of my sight

in utter stillness,
i take in the glistening scenery…

where is the home i miss,
    only remembered in drunken bliss.
first ever poem :)
tenderness and moon
go together
like you on I,
my ever
so daydream,
explorer of my
moonlit soul,
the celestial body
in which I rest
which is to say
you are home.

opening me up,
you found
a milky white lily,
a songbird and
forever
opening me up,
I was an open field,
the sky, rosy & romantic
and in it
lilies danced to
the concurrent
sound of birds, some
a sweet song
and the wind,
a soft scent,
a soft sensation,
my love letter
back to you.

Awakening Moon
calls her tides to raise new growth-
wildflowers glow pink
One more, what the heck.
Dear grandma moon
Lend me your wisdom
Give me the courage
To follow my heart
And walk my path

Dear grandma moon
Listen to my whisper
Help me see clearly
In this moment of despair
Where I don’t know my way

Dear grandma moon
I look to you now
Wondering how you do it
Staying so peaceful and wise
In this world of chaos

Dear grandma moon
Help me release stagnated energy
Guide me to my healing
And to my inner peace
Let me grow in your light

Dear grandma moon
I feel the fog surrounding me
I see your love shining through
I know you see my fight
Embracing me softly

Dear grandma moon
The time is now
For me to step into my light
For my heart to feel loved
Bless me with you energy
I’m on the right path
O CAPTAIN! MY CAPTAIN!!

Walking under the moon, wishing for you,
In the still of the night, my heart beats for you.
You may be my house, a shelter so strong.
But I am your home, where you truly belong.

By Vedanta Anagha (Mayank Tripathi)
This poem is not that big like other poems are, but for me its a soul from my heart. Every word belongs to, they are mine. And the last two line may be seems you normal in poetry, but if yo u try to look under the words of imagination, you able to understand that, this line are deep. And if you think, Why I am telling so much about that? Because, it takes me more than 2 day to just write this two lines for me.
