Wrapped by just her flesh and skin with nothing on, half-awake on her silky fabric bedsheet
She watched him walk slowly towards the door in his torn jeans and tight shirt
With a quiet gaze and a tender smile, he gently waved goodbye
In and out of her vision, his retreating figure shimmered
She must have trembled because he stopped
He smiled, walked back and passionately whispered while caressing her curves
“Please forgive me!
Please forgive...
my hands for always wanting to touch you
my lips that are burning to kiss you
my arms that are dying to embrace you!”
Her guardian angels clapped in awe as he asked again for gentle kisses
Then they swam together in furious waves, merging into the vast glimmering ocean
They were beautiful whales dancing in their own song
Then they found calmness as they reached close to the seashore
As they began to drown themselves again in melodies of the ripple waves
She forgot and suddenly realized
Waking up in a middle of a poem, she was fooled by her own metaphor

He'll Just Be Away

No matter bow hard I try,
No matter what they say.
I wont consider grandpa "dead." He'll just be away.

He's gone somewhere far away.
No one know just where,
But it"s somewhere beautiful up in the sky,
Where there's lots of love
to share.
I won't ever forget my grandpa, when i sit
down to pray, Cuz; "dead,"
He'll never be,
He'll just be away.
Cancer took all of my Grandparents very young. I wrote this particular poem for my Grandpa Hank. He was the strongest Man I ever knew.

As long as you're away
I will continue to look up at the sky
Longing that you'll gravitate back to me.
Even though you're far,
You're never at all that far from me.
For in my deepest thought I am curled up
in the brightest star that I named after you.
No matter how dark the sky I will always find you.

Gazing back upon me, curious as to how we travel so many miles.
In so little time.

Even on the darkest night
I know that you're still there.
Your love the brightest of stars.
As long as you're away
this star is always closer than it appears
No matter how far you are

Im in a race with the bottom of the bottle
Who will forget the way it feels to have you wrapped around themselves first?

The last time we met.
You stood in front of me wearing those almond eyes
that I love so much.
Not once did I hesitate
Developing a taste for almonds.
The taste of something new in the mystique of fascination.
I did not realize my love for almonds
until the initial taste.
Finding how deletable they are,
The everlasting crunch of an almond.
A unique taste swirled around my mouth
covered in milk chocolate.
Although you have gone, I have remained faithful in your absence.
Recognizing your wrapper by name
Remembering the first crunch I realized I was in love

It's been a few days since I last saw you
I can hardly remember how you sound like
So I play your voice messages on repeat
In order for me
Not to forget
The sound of your voice

I miss you
Everyday
Every hour
Every minute
Every second
I miss you so much
That it hurts
There's nothing I can do
Other than missing you

I don’t wanna live a life without you
Can’t fall asleep until around two
When I wake I think about you
They say every day brings something new
But baby all I can do is picture you
Yelling at the phone “yeah, we’re through”
Somehow I can’t seem to get over you
They can’t name a **** thing I wouldn’t do
Just to be back in that theater with you
I look at all the pictures that you drew
I smile every time I think about you
And how your eyes were so beautifully blue
I can’t believe I’m listening to this without you
Researched some of the things you were into
I could use one of those great hugs from you
Can’t believe from my life you withdrew
You’re so **** beautiful and I miss you
Why do I feel this way still, i don’t have a clue
“Do what makes you happy” words from you
But you’re what made me happy so I pursue
“I think you should move on” again from you
I guess our relationship you outgrew
That girl was my best friend, yeah that’s you
But if what they’re all saying is really true
Then I can’t be the one who gets to say to you
Goodnight babygirl, I love you too
Then they shut their eyes and dream bout you
The finch, awaiting the morning sunrise
lifts its beak in proud anticipation.
Darkness. The sun has forgotten to rise.
The finch waits for it in desperation.

To sing, to wake the world in glory’s song!
Why night, but for the finch to greet the day?
But dawn forgot to come; something is wrong.
The finch is lost, hopefulness fades away.

The sun causes the song of spirit freed,
his morning song in praise of all beloved!
The finch had grown accustomed to this need.
He’d never had to miss being so loved.

The finch misses the only thing he knew,
yet missing dawn less than I’m missing you.
