Silence Screamz Nov 2014
Color blind to deception
Color blind to destruction

Seen is the fires
Seen is the desires

Bent on amends
Bent on revenge

Indicted by our mind
Indicted by our kind

Protest in the street
Protest in the heat

Tears streams down
Tears streams abound

Violence is unjust
Violence is not a must

Hearts must mend
Hearts must not bend

Stronger we must pray
Stronger we must stay
My response to the violence in Ferguson  and across the nation

Words are like music,
a melody to your ears.
They provide you comfort
and relieve your fears.

Words are like knives,
straight through your heart.
They are like scissors,
cutting you apart.

Words are like puzzle pieces,
complicated and tough.
They are small and jumbled
with edges, rough.

Words are like the oceans
with their timeless age.
Yet they are of turbulent waves
and of fickle rage.

Words are like needle and thread,
sewing up the seams
of the torn bonds,
making the rips unseen.

Words are like rays of sun.
Shedding light when dark.
Spreading warmth when cold,
then disappearing without a mark.

Words are heard.
Words are spoken.
Some, they mend.
Some leave us broken.

Let your lips
graze my skin,
leaving no
exposed patch
untouched.
Pepper my
broken pieces
with your perfect
bandaids and
mend the scars
I swear would
never leave.
I am utterly
convinced
you are the
antidote I
thought
I'd never
find.

Home is where
your walls have seen
all the ones you love.

Home is where
you've been hurt,
and the floor was your best friend.

Home is where
cheers of joy filled the halls
on a holiday with champagne.

Home is where
every single square inch of your heart
is mended and safe.

Home is where
I haven't been in quite some time.
How long has it been since home was a constant melody dancing in the air?
Oh for the merriment of woes
I do not know if I should love
Or let love leave me alone

For I think I am in love with a man
Who is married
But was I a fool to be played until
I found it out on a couriers letter

How my heart grieves time
While it snails forth with uncertainties
What will the future hold

Should I stay or should I go
My heart breaks at great lengths But do not judge
Many leagues, namely months, have passed without you knowing the full story

As of now my heart is in pain So I ask it plain
Is it better to have loved?
Or never have loved?
Is it easier? No? To be alone...

Now only time tends to the future to
               Break or Mend a heart
For what is Life without the tragedy of
                             Love
                              and
            the distressing of the Heart
By  J. Barraza
It all started,
It will end.
Ink will run out,
But the message will always send.

Broken heart,
Words will mend.
Stopping bad habits,
Good ones will come.
It's only begun,
You are never done.

Your on your 16th chapter,
Why stop now?
Stand up and scream,
Don't take that final bow.

You still have the chance to change things,
Everyone does.
Some won't be so lucky,
They just need their rest.

It's not for the worst,
Everything is for the best.
About carrying I  with life and not giving up, you made it this far, keep on going

gum
you told me my heart would mend if I could take two pieces of gum and chew until my teeth hurt and I would be rooting for alcohol instead of you but I said nothing could ever save a broken heart with wobbly legs and an outdated smile because this world was too old for ******* and I was too young to believe in a road with no ends, but you offered me a couple of Smints and said it will be all better because you'd rather see my lips taint with artificial red than eyes stain with stoic crimson.

Hold me together
Pierce me with your silver
Mend me
I just don't know if
I never want to see you
Ever again, or
If I want to mend the wound
By opening it again.
