Did you say laughter is the best medicine?

what is it that's ailing you, that you need this medicine for?

we are concerned with your mental and physical health

laughter is not good unless prescribed and monitored
laughing uncontrollably is a sign of drug abuse
laughing hysterically is a sign of mental disorder
laughing too much can damage joy receptors
joy receptor drainage is #1 cause of sadness, and every other disease

Joyflow is the best medicine to control laughter flow
Joyflow is recommended by all doctors everywhere
*Joyflow may cause side effects including, but not limited to sadness, nausea, sterilization(good), sudden death, heartburn, diabetes, cancer, brain bleeds etc.

We are very concerned with your state of well-being
you are addicted to laughter, and not able to make logical decisions
you are over-weight and under-developed mentally
this police officer is taking you to a place to be evaluated

put your hands behind your back and do not resist
resisting an officer is a crime, and you will have jail time waiting if you pass evaluation
we will also give you something for the crying, called FlowNoMore

we work for you to stop tears and let joy flow the healthy way
did you see the mental patient rolling on the floor laughing in the lobby (title)? I hope he sobers up...intervention is divine!

When yr vision softens,
there are those that'll say it’s become too blurry—
but I know the real reason—why yr like this.
There is no light where you need to see,
but yr eyesight is the last thing on yr mind,
when everything’s on fire. When it all burns.

It’s so hard to find people that still share their feelings,
like kicking the moonlit asphalt of buildings,
   so impossible—it feels impossible.
No matter the punishment, no matter the lesson learned,
you keep falling, further falling down this path
so impossible—it feels impossible. Yr stalling.

Every delicate tool you own, is just an extension
of the hands you’ve honed, memorized positions,
check off the procedures, go thru each step.
Pray to Mary, cry the way Jesus wept.
it’s all coming down today, those buildings are falling,
but you were born for this—you were born for this
it’s always been here. Yr calling.

You stop yr prayer—and instead plea:
Maybe there’s mercy out there, but that's not for me.
If there’s one thing that God will grant me,
please never let me see, oh please,
another one of those G*dforsaken hospitals.
Not again, because right now, how’re you feeling?
so impossible—it feels impossible. Yr falling.

She reads the flaxen paper on her wall,
sees its patterns,
touches them.

They project her confusion in cold chamber light.

Stained hands,
convoluted heartbeat,
she creeps into the wall's design.

"Hysteria every time she opens her mouth," said the doctor.
"Rest will cure her."

She is nostrum,
and not permitted
to participate in her own diagnosis.

A man decides how she is allowed to perceive
and speak about the world around her.

Next time you're alone, look quickly at the wallpaper.

Look for the patterns and lines and faces on the wall.

Look, if you can, for her, visible only
out of the corner of your eye...

No one tells you that the hard part about dying is surviving

Coming to terms with your end
but its only the beginning of a new end

                                                                                          I mourned for life

For my free thought anxiety,
I do like reading Web MD,
For medical catastrophes,
But what to do, in reality,
Send them off to a good GP,
For accurate diagnoses,
Then stop reading Web MD!
Feedback welcome
He worships me
As a goddess of health and cleanliness
Hygieia his hygieia
My beloved Hippocrates how are you love me so
And how I love you so
I wish we could be united as moral and goddess but our love is for bidden and we can all unite but in  secret
Come to my temple of healing and all of you as I see fit
My beloved physician

How real are they? These faded dreams
The line between
Anxiety and reality
twists
Like the knife I know
Was entered into me
Found in emails to doctors
I've forgotten I'd written.
Sometimes awe and trauma battle for the same headspace.
You never forget the first time you scare a child with your white coat.

You never forget the first time you elicit CVA tenderness unexpectedly.

You never forget the first time you meet someone with ***.

You never forget the first time you have a trauma call for a motor vehicle accident or a gunshot wound.

You never forget the first time you comfort a patient who is crying because they don’t want to be in the hospital.

You never forget the first time you witness a patient and her family hear the words “You have cancer”.

You never forget the first baby you help deliver (you also never forget the mom).

You never forget the first time a patient admits they’ve attempted suicide in the past.

You never forget your first patient.

Being a medical student is a humbling experience.

I hope I never forget that either.
