Here it comes peace inbound.
Falling down without a sound.
There is no discrimination.
It's only goal annihilation.
Mankind's destructive wonder.
Made to tear the world asunder.
Great big bomb in the sky.
Last thing we see before we die.
Nigel Finn Dec 2016
Nothing exists except atoms and space,
And everything else is opinion,
Yet we can't determine the time of their place,
And relative distance between 'em.

If I could understand,
With a wave of my hand,
All that is, and what lies in between,
I probably wouldn't,
For fear that I couldn't
Unsee what what I might think obscene.

What if, for example,
I could indeed sample
All knowledge there is to be known?
Would I be enlightened,
Or possibly frightened?
Depressed once all mystery's gone?

If nothing exists except atoms and space,
And if everything else is opinion,
Then surely opinion's mankind's saving grace;
The source of the beauty within 'em
I'm stealing another quote outright in this one. This time I've borrowed "Nothing exists except atoms and space, and everything else is opinion." from Democritus, or rather from the person who translated Democritus if you want to get technical.

To say my grasp of physics is almost non-existent would be an understatement, but I know just enough to know this may offend a few physicists out there.
images of the savior’s birth abound
in Christian lands

many rooms in many museums
have been filled with paintings of the scene
over many centuries

he
and his ****** mother
and his consenting father
in a manger
shepherds and sweet animals around

33 years later

what does it mean
that he shouldered the guilt of mankind
and died for us on the cross

what guilt

why did he have to die

born innocent by a ******
    visited by the holy spirit

the archetypal story
    of human suffering
begins with his birth

and has not ended since

Your languid eyes are shaped like an almond,
Your complexion is like the moon so pale,
Who could not to my figure be likened,
Who's between people and people a veil.
And your speech is in a different tongue,
Veiling the layers of our deep voices,
Making us deaf to hear our true song,
Freezing us in our ignorant choices.
But don't you smell, hear, feel and see like me?
Don't you become saddened and cry like me?
Don't you strive to become happy like me?
Don't you become tired and sigh like me?
  No matter which label, black, white, Asian;
We all emerge from the same Origin.

We are a mess! But a beautiful mess.
And at times an unbelievable mess,
Both in our wonders and in our failures.
O Mankind is such a wonderful mess!

The dark arch of sins
Has venenated the pure souls
And the veil of greed
Has blinded us all
The beast of the evil
Is now unshackled
This destructive evil
Has made us devil
Desires have devitalised our souls
Dark has made us deaf
Dolorific sounds echo in our heads
But we stay mum just like dead
Even the heart of hallows, are now shallow
And the gratifying cities are grave-yards of mankind
Hope for light and thefate to change
The wheel of time will turn around
And the Good Lord will again rise
To bring the Dusk to Dolourous Dark.

the impact of mankind is profound
it's ridiculously simple
--childishly intent on giving commands and ordering respect
meanwhile leaving behind fierce footprints of disrespect

Apocalypse redux
Interacting with our tear ducts.
We fly our flags
Until they are draped on our coffins
While weapons are tested by boffins
Sold to our enemies
Who fire them at us
While pop stars can only sing
Insipid love songs
What happened to protesting?
That's right we have give notice to the powers that be
The government which seems to control the BBC
So protests don't get reported
We are more interested in who gets deported
Than helping mankind
We bombed their countries to the brink of annihilation
Is there no room in our nihilism?
That is in our souls
We are more short sighted than moles
Love is only favouritism when we don't extend it to all of the human race
Compassion has died God cradles their face.

dancing on the sands of agony
to the saddest song of apathy
standing behind tactical amnesty
with no chance because we lack capacity

we can't advance in fantasy
in rampant mankind's laxity
this land is ****** by strategy
a lack of sanity and demanded voracity

a stance of disbanding amity
we enhance the mass audacity
with plans deteriorating rapidly
we only last for a chance at catastrophe

The Search begins with you
And a long journey awaits you ahead
We have to search all through
Because we ourselves dig it in death bed
I am talking about the mankind
That's lost today and we're unable to find

You do know it, I do know it,
That it's all our fault
We kept digging ourselves in a dark pit
As the Search never starts
we have gone too deep to reach the gates of hell
And still we are sleeping, that's all I can tell

The Search begins on the mark
When we will help our fellows who live
Whether to a human, animal or bark
We have to do our part and give,
Give them light to end the dark,
Atleast try to make a spark.

The Search ends in the place
We all can only dream of
Make a start to end this chase
I know that the path is rough
It's the only force that binds
Don't quit till you Find the lost Mankind
