Blurred, steely moon came
'fore twelve midnight...strong wind blew
Between moon and me...

Chilly silence cloaked
A long sleepless night......as hushed
Night creatures connived

No dogs barked, or howled
No cats growled, or called their mates
Frogs didn't dare croak

Silhouettes swayed on
Big shadows cowered.........wind, sang
Its weird lullaby

Stilled moon stayed put.......as
Dark indigo firmament
P a t i e n t l y   watched................while

Earth moved...............tides, ebbed...flowed
Time passed..........moon ceded.........then came
............................Fiery Orb............at dawn.

water laps
at my feet,
gentle tides
ever rolling.
this place is my solace, my lullaby.
i come here by day
or even night.
when i am away
my mind is a jumble.
when i am here
things awry, become right.
i love it here
for a million reasons.
the water laps
at my feet.
gentle tides
rolling in,
and i am at peace
once again.

If your heartbeat is my favourite lullaby, how could I sleep without you?!
Sleeping alone is a waste of bed. <3

Splintered shields and cracking swords lay all around me on these burning hills.
I stand alone, the last of my kind.

Here I stand my wings dripping red, lifeblood staining my sword and my shield but also dripping from your head.
A Valkyrie, an angel of Death
I hover over your waning Life waiting with baited breath.
  The fields once green,
now stained with your brothers and sisters now fallen,
blackened with blood and ash and flesh, of friend and foe alike.
The last one left waiting to enter my halls,
you fought you won you gave it your all.
Little Warrior, little ***** if I summon,
will you finally answer my call?

As you finally lay down your head,
I shall sing you the Valkyrie's lullaby of final rest.
Brave little warrior,
I shall sing you the lullaby of Death.
I kinda just wrote this, and i haven;t checked the grammar yet but then again this is a writers site, so I hope ya'all forgive me. Apparently being bored, sitting on my roof smoking a pack of cigarettes makes me wanna write so, yeah...

Lemme sing a sweet lullaby,
to put you to sleep with a sweet memory,
For you are the spark i see,
   That forces me to be...

Float,my darling in my fading noise,
for there's love beneath this caring voice,
Sleep my love for you arent well,
And coz am sleepy too in your intoxicating smell ;)

when I catch your gaze meeting mine, my heartbeat composed a symphony of lullabies to sooth my mind

Melodies guide me
Away from the world's chaos
All the way to sleep.
Dreams are a way to escape the monstrosities of the world to take us to chaotic one of our own.

A sleepy lullaby to warm the soul. The sound of rain, and thunder in the distance, with echoes of the nearby church bell. The resonance of your world in a music box. "Keep it handy", he tells me, "When you need the world's help, wind up that little wonder like a heartbeat, and you'll feel like you're in a dream."
A portion of a short I'm thinking of continuing. I'm terribly undecisive though.

Sing to me your lullaby
Let me sleep as the time pass-by
Shed my tears dont let me cry
Please stay and never say goodbye.

Things will one day get hard,
But you don't always need to be on your guard,
For let me remind you about flowers in spring,
I'll show you a world about birds on wing,
Where freedom is something to hold,
Similar to the buttercup gold.

Let me remind you about flowers in spring,
Where even the roses hold their sting,
Tulips red and green,
Standing in the wind regal like a queen,
A bright and beautiful season,
Yet something is without reason.

Not everything you see is without flaw,
They find your weakness and claw,
You'll become different and broken,
With words heavy and unspoken,
I'll be here for you if you should cry,
I'll sing you a sweet lullaby.

For let me remind you about flowers in spring.
