A collection of ‘Love is…’ Poetry
Empty

Love is nothing like I thought it would be.
Love is so much more than I thought possible.
Love is unbelievable, so magnifique!
The only problem I can peek,
Is that love is probably improbable.

Love is change.
Love is staying the same.
Love is putting a smile on your face.
Love is great.

Love is just a gamble and the novice has to lose
One sells his heart to beloved and soul to muse
For some it is a suture for other it is like bruise
Lovers are condemned along with their views

Knowing fully I will lose still I aspire to play
She is my dawn who has carried away my day
Beloved excels in heart and a lover has to stray
Under all circumstances price of love is to pay

But If you just take my hand in to your hand
Then we will have same frequency and band
I lost my love in heaven and loser on ground
So what do you think what may be loser's stand

Love is tender,
love is kind,
And it leaves no one behind
Love is sweet,
love is fair,
but it's risky,
take the dare?
Love can break you,
love can make you.
Sometimes it's not even true,
But there are ones who find it for the, very lucky few.
Love is beauty,
love is pure,
but it's something few deserve.
I was inspired to write this when I read the quote (It is a risk to love, what if it doesn't work out? Ah but what if it does-Peter McWilliams.) It told me that love is a risky things but if you love someone enough you'll take the leap just for them because you love them enough that you'll let them break your heart.

Love is the first time you sleep with a face full of hair and don't care,
you're just grateful she's there.
It's all the emotion you're able to bear, so beware;
nobody said it was graceful or fair.

Love is unprepared to be rushed but a touch is barely enough,
and since you don't dare to give up, there is the rub.
She'll put her hair in a bun and rip the air from your lungs,
And you can feel your blood pumping like the scariest drum.

Love is it all, it's the bricks and the wall,
it's the stick and the ball, the listen and call,
The dismissal of any and all critical thought, but what is it overall?
it's the bridge metaphor and the physical fall.

Love is when you travel to the farthest of lands over mountains, marshes and sands.
It's artistry, grand, feeling your hearts swelling as large as they can,
hearing your arteries bang,
and being there to hold the cane inside the palm of her hand.

Love is transcending genders and age, to the 'benders' and 'gays',
finding an effortless way through the prejudiced plague.
Ask any men, they will say that it led them astray,
from the gentlest phrase to the mentalist, caged,

Love is the first time you sleep with a face full of hair and don't care,
you're just grateful he's there,
It's all the emotion you're able to bear, so beware.

Nobody said it was graceful or fair.

I once heard that to love

is to bury true blood

or maybe I'm confusing things

I overheard some girl saying this in my class

she always talked fast and I'm not exactly feeling great lately

so I might have misunderstood

rethinking this,  she was probably talking about a ******* TV show

****

why do I always think that everything I hear is poem material

Women use the “Silent Treatment” as a strategy
When men transgress, no matter how trivial it might be
The following is an example, a scenario
Typical of how these situations go.

What have I said?
What have I done!
Don’t wreck my head,
Tell me please hon.

Was it that bad?
How could it be?
You will drive me mad
If you don’t speak to me!!

Was I so wrong?
What did I say?
This is going on too long
Is this it for the day?

It’s like a bad dream
This cant be right
Why don’t you scream
If you want to fight?

Are you so sick?
Or are you insane?
Does it give you a kick
To see me in pain?

I’m losing my patience
I’m not getting through
Would you please see some sense
And tell me WHAT DID I DO???

This is getting us nowhere
Can you stop messing around
You are just not playing fair
With this picture without sound

Right I’ve had enough
I’m not taking this anymore
You’re not speaking? TOUGH
I’m walking out that door.

Well I really don’t know
I’m away on the beer
Unless you can show
That you want me here

God! Did you speak?
******* down dead
Your voice was so weak
What was it you said?

Why are you glaring?
Are you out of your tree?
Why are you staring
Like you could **** me?

Have you nothing to say?
Why do you shake?
Do you want me to stay
Or was it my mistake?

Right! I’m away out!
This is a joke.
You should spit it out
Before you choke

Did you say don’t go?
Speak again fast
Are you in there Hello!
Time is getting past.

Oh no! Not a tear!
Baby please don’t.
You don’t have to fear
I won’t go so I won’t!

Is that all it was?
Oh It’s ok honey
I’m only laughing because
You must see it’s funny.

You don’t have to cry
You don’t have to worry
Though I’m still not sure why
I am really sorry.

When saying "I love you" in a call for his bae,
in public, loud but with endearment; awkward pathway.
He doesn't care what people beside him may say
but hey, he's smiling cause it made his day.
really awkward

To love
Is to expose yourself
Wholeheartedly
To heartbreak.

To bring someone into your heart
And trust them
Not to rip it to shreds.

To reserve a little space
In your mind and thoughts
For that human being
Who impressed you
Told you they
Loved you
Showed you affection.

Destruction is

For that person
To say they never liked you
For them to take
Your exposure
And abuse it.

Even though you trusted them
And brought them into you like
A counterpart
Of your heart
They rip you to shreds inside.

They take that reserved parking spot
That you cleared for them
And they graffiti it,
And burn it up
And then leave

Leave you a trembling
Crying mess
Who just wants to know what they did
Wrong.
And when you finally find out,
Its not good enough

Because even though the reason
Is not a real reason
They still hurt you
And you can't hate them

Because inside, you are cleaning up that
Graffiti they drew
And those scorch marks they burned
And you just
Can't
Hate them.
You can't.

Because despite everything,
You are still holding out hope that
They might come back
And apologize.
For the first time in my life, I don't want anyone to ask me what's wrong. I just want to pretend that none of it happened-that it was all a bad dream. But every morning, I know I will wake up and remember it really happened.
God help me.
