The limerick.
Is an Irish rhyme from the 18th Century’s
When the Irish was fighting in France  for the English. It consists of five lines.
With a syllable pattern of 9,9.5,5,9.
With a rhyming pattern.  a,a,b,b,a.

An example.

There is a young lady in Dallas,
Who remarkably lives in a palace.
Inspired she is.
To drink lemon fizz.
With her Muse an able accomplice

Some Sea Eagles that I know nearby
Backwards and forwards these birds do fly
Their nests in a tree
And so close to me.
The wonders of nature so  defined.

There once was a Mum on a train
her teen was becoming a pain
She patted her hair
and said “ Oh there, there”
and smiled though her patience did wane.

There once was a boring train ride
my teen simply couldn’t abide
she had a wee tanty
and twisted her *******
in a minute I might tan her hide

There once was a bone weary teen
whose muscles were starting to scream
she was having a sook
‘bout the miles undertook
but grinned with memories of icecream.
